Chapter 63~The dinner

{Joe's POV}

J-"Are you feeling better"
M-"Yeah"
D-"Good"
J-"EPONINÉ are you ready"
E-"Yeah but where are we going"
D-"Nowhere"
M-"What"
E-"I'm confused"
M-"Who are these people"
D-"They are chefs"
E-"Do they realise this isn't the kitchen"
J-"Eps they are here for us"
E-"What"
D-"We are having breakfast on the balcony and they've made it"
Franz-"Hi"
E-"What's your name"
F-"Franz, young lady"

Franz bent down and kissed the back of Eponiné's hand, she giggled. He did the same to Macklynn then wandered towards Dianne but no-.

J-"Nope Franz"
F-"What"
J-"Always trying to steal my women"
F-"You've got good taste and when have I ever stole your women"
J-"You haven't it just sounded good and you're right I do have good taste so stay away, she's mine"
E-"Franz I think you made daddy jealous"
F-"I think I made him jealous too"

We all laugh, as did I. I just made sure to slowly get closer to Dianne. Dianne looked at me, I smirked and she put her hand to my chin and pulled it forward so she could kiss me lips.

D-"I can't wait to tell them"
J-"Me neither"

We all sat down. Arms were all over the table retrieving the delicious food.

M-"Yum, yum in my tum"
E-"Mhm"

Dianne looked at me, I nodded.

D-"Okay girls we have something to tell you"
J-"Urmm so last night before we came home I proposed to mummy"
M-"What did she say"
D-"I said yes"

Dianne lifted her hand up showing off the ring Macklynn and Eponiné's faces lit up.

E-"You're getting married"
J-"Yeah"

Eponiné and Macklynn both jumped out of there chairs and ran over to our side of the table and gave us the biggest hugs ever.

E-"Do we get to be bridesmaids"
D-"Yes"
J-"Excuse me"
E-"What"
J-"Why don't you want to be my best men"
E-"Because we're not men"
M-"I'll be your best man"
J-"Seriously"
M-"Yes please"
J-"I'm so excited and happy"

Eponiné sat on Dianne's lap and Macklynn sat on mine.

M-"Team Dad vs team Mum"
E-"I'm happy to be on mummy's team"
J-"Oh I see how it is"
M-"Well we're gonna win"
J-"Yeah we are"
D-"Win What"
J-"I don't know"
M-"Leave us alone"
J-"Yeah"

Dianne gave me a stern look.

J-"I didn't mean it love you"

I kissed Dianne's cheek after quickly apologising, Macklynn and Eponiné laughed.

D-"You might want to be more careful fiancé"

Dianne over-pronounced the fiancé which made me and Macklynn look at each other worriedly. Eponiné was loving it she couldn't stop laughing.

J-"I love you so much, I thinks you're so beautiful"
M-"ANNDDD you're the best mum ever"
D-"Okay"

Dianne got up and walked off with Eponiné following closely behind her.

M-"The cheek"
J-"I know right"

Macklynn and I stood up chased after both of them. I playfully pushed Dianne onto the bed and Macklynn carefully picked Eponiné up and chucked her on it.

M-"Tickle mum"

I started tickling Dianne, Macklynn and Eponiné soon joined in. We were all laughing uncontrollably. This is what I loved about having such an amazing family, we could have special moments like these and they won't end in a complete disaster because one of us went too far. I love them all so much and I can't wait to take them to Disney land. The moment was ruined when I realised we were having dinner with everyone tonight.

J-"Nooo"
M-"What"
D-"Oh... we've got to have dinner with everyone tonight"
E-"Will they still be arguing"
J-"I don't know"
D-"It's going to be okay"
E-"What if you and daddy catch the bug"
J-"We're not going to"
D-"We've had our fair share of arguments for this lifetime alone"
J-"Hui hui"
E-"Yes, yes"

We all chuckled. The day went on and eventually, it came to dinner. Here we come hell.

Z-"Hello"

Dianne whispered to me "are they gonna argue or?"
It made me giggle.

Grant-"How are you guys"
D-"Gooood"

This was getting more awkward and more awkwardly by the second.

J-"Let's sit down"
M-"Good idea"

We sat down in silence, ordered then returned to silence. Dianne tried to break it.

D-"So what's new with you guys"
Grant-"Soooo Peter and I have decided to adopt a baby"
E-"Urgh"
D-"Come again"

What, are they kidding? (The writing in italics is just them whispering to each other)

P-"We thought we are just so ready for it and we need a new challenge"
D-"I think they're challenged enough"
J-"I know right"

Dianne and I whispered to each other. She cracked me up. Our food arrived and we started eating, the conversation was flowing better now.

Peter-"So Zoe, Alfie what's new with you guys"
Z-"Well we've had many conversations and we now both agree that we want to get married but we don't know when and also we are going to be buying our first place together properly rather than me just moving in with him"
G-"Awwww"
M-"I don't think that's a good idea"
E-"Me neither"
M-"Sorry but aren't either of you couples worried about your arguing"
A-"What are you on about"
J-"Macklynn"
M-"No sorry but you guys haven't stopped arguing and it started to scare Eponiné and was even scaring me and now your acting like nothing has happened"
Z-"Every couple has arguments"
M-"Yeah and then they sort it out"
Z-"And we have and anyway we were only arguing because Joe asked us to come here last minute"
A&G&P-"Mhm"
J-"..."

Was it really all my fault? Dianne shook her head but I'm pretty sure it wasn't at me.

J-"Guys I'm really so-"
D-"Hell to the no, you don't apologise..."
