Chapter 61~ She said No?

{Dianne's POV}

After our long day out yesterday, Macklynn and Eponiné were both exhausted. We first found a cute little cafe that we went to have breakfast in; it tasted delicious. We then went to a bakery to pick up some cakes and various pastries, after that we went to a toy store where Macklynn and Eponiné went crazy and I and Joe did too to be fair. We then went to a park where Macklynn and Eponiné played for ages, then went to a restaurant for lunch after that we went to the zoo where we saw big cats, red pandas and apes and a lot more. I feel like I'm advertising it. After the Zoo, we went on a boat ride which Macklynn and Eponiné fell asleep on. When we returned to the hotel we asked Peter and Zoe if they could look after the girls whilst we Joe went to go and get dinner.

J-"You look stunning"
D-"You look very handsome too"

Joe took my hand and twirled me around. We both giggled. Joe kissed me softly on the lips before he wrapped his arm around my waist and we walked to the restaurant.

D-"Wait where are we going"
J-"You'll see"
D-"Joe this area is really expensive"
J-"Dianne think about our house"
D-"It's big"
J-"Who's was it originally"
D-"Yours... oh"
J-"I love you you're hilarious"
D-"I don't know why it never properly clicked before"
J-"You never fail to make me laugh do you"
D-"I am pretty hilarious"

Joe laughed again this time harder than before. Joe took me up some steps and into a very posh restaurant, it was very crowded to say it's this expensive. I gripped onto Joe tighter and shuffled closer. A waiter came over to us and in a very French accent said "Bonjour Mr Sugg it's lovely to see you again, would you like to follow me" I looked at Joe confused, why did the waiter know him? We followed the waiter and he took us to a private bit outside, it had a gorgeous view of the river and the Eiffel Tower. The balcony was wrapped in green flowers the hugged it all the way around.

D-"Joe this is beautiful"
J-"Just like you"
D-"I can't believe after all this time you still make me blush"
J-"We've been dating now for about 11 months it's our 1 year anniversary in a week this 11 months is counting the blip we had"
D-"That's fine and can I just say even though we had our ups and downs there's mainly only been ups and that's never happened before in my life and I want to thank you for that"
J-"You're very welcome it has been my honour I love you"
D-"I love you more"
J-"Not possible"

We smiled at each other softly. The waiters started bringing out our food.

D-"What is going on"
J-"Just relax"
D-"Okay... how do they know what my favourite food is"
J-"They don't I do"
D-"I love you so much this tastes amazing"
J-"Are you in heaven over there"
D-"Yes"
J-"You really do love your food"
D-"Oh also whilst I remember how did the waiter know you"
J-"Oh my mum used to own this restaurant"
D-"I love how you just said that so casually"
J-"I know I suppose it's all I ever knew"
D-"So what did your parents actually do then"
J-"So my mum was an amazing chef so she bought a restaurant that restaurant took off and she ended up becoming a world-renowned chef she bought a lot more restaurants and even a few bakeries. I think in total she owned about 21 different restaurants across the globe and she was a partner in many firms and restaurant chains"
D-"Woah your mum was a powerful woman"
J-"Yeah very, my dad was a businessman he owned many different stores and companies and had shares in many many more, you know our house"
D-"Yeah it used to be there's"
J-"Correct but for the amount of money they had we lived in a rather small house"
D-"Which is why you can afford everything now"
J-"Yeah it's why I haven't gone bankrupt yet and probably never will"
D-"I knew your parents were rich but it always baffled me how you had managed to stay in the house"
J-"Well know you know"
D-"I'm dating a very rich man, I don't really bring that much to the table so I apologise for that one"

Joe smiled at me. We both wiped our mouths with the cloth things provided. I have no idea what they are called.

D-"What"
J-"You don't realise how much you've brought to the table do you"
D-"Well what have I brought"
J-"You've brought the three best things in my life and also a lot more"
D-"What are those three things then Joe"
J-"Eponiné, Macklynn and you"

When he said "you" my heart sank but in the best possible way. I felt water build in my eyes. Joe grabbed my hand from across the table and held it he gently stroked it with his thumb.

J-"Dianne I don't think you realise how empty my life was before, I wasn't happy, I didn't laugh, I didn't cry, I didn't smile, I didn't even love now I'm always happy because I've got you by my side, I'm always laughing because you're hilarious, I'm always crying whether it's because you've made me laugh too hard or we are watching a sad movie, I'm always smiling, I mean why wouldn't I be I get to look at you all day every day, and I love you"

Joe got choked up as tears started to fall from his face.

J-"Dianne I love you more than I have loved anything ever in my life, I would sacrifice my self for you, I love you so much that sometimes I don't feel like I have enough room for all the love but then I look at you and even more love gets added to the pile"

I laughed whilst tears fell from my face as well.

J-"I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm gonna do this properly this time"
D-"What"

Joe let go of my hands and stood up. He then got down on one knee and by this point, I think both of us had lost it.

J-"Dianne Buswell will you marry me"
D-"No - I'm only joking, of course, I will"

We both we laughing and crying at the same time what a pair. Joe placed the ring on my finger.

D-"Joe it's beautiful"
J-"You like it then"
D-"Joe I absolutely love it

J-"The ring looks even better on you then again everything does"

I wiped the tears away from Joes face. Joe wrapped his arms around my waist.

J-"Look"

I turned around and the Eiffel Tower was flashing. Everything was perfect.

Joe kissed me passionately and meaningfully. This was our first kiss as a properly engaged couple. I swear Joe gets better at kissing every single time we kiss. I can't believe I'm actually going to be marrying Joe. I actually can't wait. I feel like I'm going to cry again I'm so happy.
