Dianne's POV

The arguing had calmed down now there was just silence. We were supposed to be getting on a plane and flying to Paris tonight! At this rate, they'd of all killed each other before we have the chance. No one had said hi to Joe or I today nor had they to Macklynn and Eponiné this was supposed to be an enjoyable family holiday and they are ruining it and there supposed to be the most mature as well. Clearly with age does not come maturity.

J-"Hey"
D-"Hi"
J-"I wanna talk about the whole marriage thing"
D-"Oh okay it's fine I mean we're young and you probably said it in the heat of the moment and-"
J-"What no I still wanna get married to you I just wanted to talk about the ring"
D-"Oh so you didn't just say it in the heat of the moment"
J-"No of course not I wanna marry you, Dianne Buswell"

Joe lifted me up and spun me around before pinning me down on the sofa.

J-"You said yes you're stuck with me now"
D-"Oh no poor me"
J-"I love you"
D-"Cool"
J-"How dare you"
D-"I'm only joking I love you too"
J-"Thanks"
D-"Excuse me"
J-"Not possible"
D-"There we go"

We both couldn't stop laughing. I love this boy.

D-"We need to go and pack"
J-"We don't have to leave for hours"
D-"Joe"
J-"Yeah... oh I have two daughters as well"
D-"Yeah there clothes are probably everywhere"

We walked to Macklynn and Eponiné's rooms. Their suitcases were fully packed and Eponiné was hugging Macklynn. They both looked scared. I felt on edge with all the arguing but the girls looked petrified.

J-"Why have you already packed your suitcases"
E-"Everyones arguing and I don't want you two to start arguing"
M-"Neither of us does"
D-"Aww"

Joe and I went over to the girls and wrapped them in a big family hug.

J-"Why don't we go to the pool"
D-"Before we have to get on the plane again"
M-"Yeah"
D-"Does that sound good Eps"
E-"Yeah"

They slowly got changed into their costumes, they looked so frightened which was heartbreaking. I know how that feels. We wandered on outside, Macklynn clung onto my side and Joe was carrying Eponiné. As we played in the pool the girls loosened up and were having more and more fun. Eponiné started splashing everyone which made Macklynn splash her back but Macklynn ended up splashing Joe, so Joe went to splash Macklynn but got me instead so now we are having a huge water fight.

M-"We should be in teams"
J-"Yeah"
E-"Me and daddy and Macky and mummy"
J-"It's going down"
D-"I'm yelling timber"
M-"You better move"
E-"You better dance"

We all laughed. Macklynn and Eponiné's little human giggle was the best, they were filled with so much life and cuteness. It was the best feeling as a parent to hear your daughters laugh, it gave you confirmation they were happy and that's all I ever want for them; to be happy.

As we all got out of the pool Joe held back. We all turned around confused and Joe splashed us all one last time. The girls dropped to the floor with laughter. I stood there, I could barely breathe I was laughing too hard. Joe jumped out and gave me a hug whilst both of us were still laughing. You can always count on Joe to cheer you up.

We all ran inside to get dry and changed into casual clothes before getting on the plane. When we all came back out of our rooms with our suitcases to the living room Zoe and Alfie were sat on opposite ends of the sofa not talking to each other as were Grant and Peter. At least they were no longer screaming at each other. It had started raining. Great! We all hurried to the taxi. The rained splashed against the floor making everything shine.

E-"Mummy I think the rains pretty"
D-"So do I"

Everything about the day was dull. When we arrived in Paris it was still raining.

J-"None of them are talking again"
D-"Again they haven't even started taking since the fight"
J-"This was supposed to be an enjoyable holiday with everyone here I'm sorry"
D-"It's not your fault and I'm still having the best time, without this holiday I wouldn't have my now future husband"
J-"Wasn't I always a part of your future"
D-"Yes but now it's set in stone"
J-"More like set in diamond"

I giggled.

J-"Anyway we never did get to talk about the ring"
D-"Oh yeah"
J-"How about we wait to get the ring until we've finished school"
D-"Yeah, yeah that's a good idea"
J-"You sure you're okay with that"
D-"Yeah yeah yeah I'm fine"

Not gonna lie I was disappointed and I also don't think I was doing a very good job of hiding it. Anyway, we need to get to the hotel. I took a deep breath and tried to burry my disappointment under oxygen. I gave Joe a half-hearted smile before the girls came running over.

Joe's POV

We had put all the bags in the rooms and the girls had fallen asleep. It's been a long day for us all. Dianne was reading a book whilst watching the girls making sure they were okay. I told her I was just popping out and should be back soon. In reality, I was going to buy Dianne a ring, to be more specific an engagement ring. All I knew is that this ring had to be special, I mean it's for Dianne the love of my life and we've already had such a whirlwind romance it's been a heck of a journey with her but I wouldn't want to have gone on that journey with anyone else. My life with Dianne was my own fairytale. It was my Disney movie and I need a ring that'll reflect that and I think I may have found it. That's it. I didn't even care how much it cost all I knew was that ring was gonna be on Dianne's finger, that's if she says yes. She better she already has once. I laughed to myself people around me probably thought I was crazy but I didn't care because I was thinking about Dianne, my world. I looked at the ring and smirked it was perfect.
