{Dianne's POV}

Z-"He wanted it"
D-"Urmm Yeah"
Z-"He wanted it"
D-"Yeah, sorry did I say something"

Both Alfie and I looked worried. I don't think he knew why she was crying either.

Z-"Sorry it's just, you've helped Joe in so many ways that you probably don't even know how"
D-"Urm Thanks"
Z-"He's been so scared of loving someone and having family in his life that he pushed everyone out even me but I was stubborn and stayed. So I'm the only person Joe's got but he let you and the two girls in because loves you. You've shown him how to love again"
D-"..."
Z-"You did that and I'm sorry that I'm crying but Joe's not been himself at all since our parents died but you come along and he's laughing, smiling, telling jokes, singing more, drawing pictures with colour in again you've helped put the life back inside of him and I thank you for that"

I just nodded trying not to cry.

Z-"I'm going to hug you now whether you like it or not"

Zoe embraced me into a hug and I hugged her back. This put me over the edge of my emotions and tears started to fall from my eyes. "You've made me cry as well now," I said as Zoe and I laughed a little.

A-"Joe better get in here before I start to cry, JOE"
J-"Yeah what's wrong"

Joe saw me and Zoe crying and hugging.

A-"They've been like that for a few minutes"
J-"Why what happened"
A-"Zoe basically told Dianne not to force this family on you and Dianne said you were the one who wanted it and then Zoe got all emotional and was in tears because you are no longer scared of family and she started to thank Dianne for making you, you again"
J-"Oh alright"

Macklynn and Eponiné ran in with drawings for us all. Zoe and I had stopped hugging by now. When Eponiné ran over to Zoe to give her hers, Zoe lifted her into her lap and said "Who are all these people"

E-"Well that's mummy and daddy and that's me and Mack then there's you and afee"

Zoe and I smiled as she couldn't quite pronounce Alfie's name.

Z-"What's that"
E-"That's the dog mummy and daddy promised us"
D-"What"
J-"When did we promise you a dog"
M-"The other day"
D-"No we didn't"
E-"Yes you did"
J-"Urmm no we didn't"
E-"Urmm Yes you did"
D-"Wait did we"
J-"No, actually I don't know"
M-"We asked you the other day and you said yes"
D-"No we didn't"
E-"I think you'll find you diiiid"
J-"I think you'll find we diiiidn't"
M-"Ugh Fine you didn't"
E-"It was worth a try"
D-"So we didn't promise you a dog"
M-"No but please can we have one"
J-"No"
M-"Ugh you're mean"
J-"Fine but I'm not the one who just lied"
M-"We didn't lie"
J-"Then What did you do"
M-"We twisted the truth"
J-"You pretended and added a conversation that never happened"
M-"Okay fine maybe we lied but you've got to give us points for trying"

Joe just laughed and shook his head.

Z-"Ooo we should do something today"
E-"Like what"
A-"We could go bowling"
J-"Or play mini golf"
D-"Or both"
M-"I like mums idea the best"
E-"Yeah same"
J-"Me too"
A-"me three"
Z-"Me four"
D-"Let's get ready and go then"
M-"We need to get changed"
D-"Oh yeah"
J-"Right we won't be one minute"
D-"Well we will unless you can get changed that quickly"
J-"Oh Come on"

We all laughed. Before we ran upstairs. Joe, in fact, could get changed very quickly and was already downstairs.
