Chapter 44~A hug

{Dianne's POV}

It was Sunday evening and Zoe has just uploaded her vlog that the girls, Joe and I were in. Joe was getting stressed.

D-"Calm down everything is gonna be fine"
J-"What if it's not and everyone doesn't like the girls"
D-"One why wouldn't they like them and two who cares, they don't know them"
J-"I'm nervous"
D-"I know you're literally shaking"

I needed to distract Joe and I needed to do it fast before he has a panic attack. I quickly turned to Joe and placed my lips on his. Joe pulled me closer and his soft lips moved in sync with mine. Warmth spiralled down my body as his hands roamed my back. Our foreheads pressed against each other and we pulled our lips apart.

D-"Feel better now"
J-"Much better"

I cuddled into Joe and he refreshed the computer when thousands of comments on Zoe's video came flooding through.

J-"I'm scared"
D-"Don't be it's going to be okay"

Joe turned his head so he wasn't looking at the computer and was looking at me.

J-"Can you do it"
D-"Yeah"

I scrolled down and looked through the comments.

D-"Omg there's a really bad one here"
J-"What does it say"
D-"Dianne's hair is amazing"
J-"Oh... wait what no it doesn't"
D-"Yes it does"

I pecked Joe on the lips before I turned his head so he was looking at the computer. He could now see the comments for himself. "Your family are so cute" "Why is Macklynn so relatable" "They are all a beautiful breed of human" "Eponiné is sooo cute I can't handle it arggg" Joe and I laughed at the comments that were coming through.

D-"See you have and had nothing to worry about"
J-"Okay you were right"
D-"I'm always right"
J-"We are not having this argument"
D-"We don't have to, you just have to agree that I'm always right"

Joe shook his head laughing. I lightly punched his arm.

D-"Hey"
J-"I'm sorry"
D-"You better be"

Joe gave me puppy dog eyes and well I couldn't resist kissing him but I forgot how much I missed this and well-yeah. Joe pulled me onto his lap and kissed me; passionately and intensely. He moved the computer with one hand and pulled me closer with the other. He kissed down my neck which earned a quiet moan that escaped from my lips. I slowly slipped off of Joe's lap not breaking the kiss. He unbuttoned my shirt, well his shirt, and my hands roamed his body and found themselves at the waistband of his boxers...

Joe and I were lied down next to each other, looking at each other lovingly in the eyes Joe gently brushed the hair out of my face to behind my ear.

J-"I've missed this"
D-"Yeah just us two"
J-"I wouldn't change anything I've got now"
D-"No neither would I"
J-"I love you"
D-"I love you more"
J-"Not possible"
D-"Promise me nothing will change any time soon"
J-"I promise"
...

Monday morning came well to quickly. I seriously was not ready.

J-"DIANNE"
D-"What"
J-"We're at school you've been asleep the whole ride and I practically had to drag you to the car"
D-"Sorry I'm too tired for this"
J-"I know Monday's suck"
D-"I would normally say it's not Monday that sucks it's your life but you have me"
J-"Exactly so it's not my life it must be Monday"
D-"Only in this situation"
J-"Hm"

We got out of the car and started walking towards the doors of hell. Ugh, here we go again.

D-"Why the hell am I craving ice cream and a burrito"
J-"Like at the same time"
D-"Yeah"
J-"You're weird"
D-"Monday mornings screw my brain up"
J-"You're also hilarious"
D-"Why thank you, Mr Sugg"
J-"No problemo Buswell"

On the way into school, Ambar tried to trip me up but Joe stepped over their feet and picked me up as he did so I didn't trip.

D-"Thanks"
J-"I'm not gonna let them literally bring you down"

I burst out laughing.

D-"You know how to make me laugh"
J-"I do and that's why you fell in love with me"
D-"Cheesy but true it's one of the many reasons why I fell for you"

Joe kissed my forehead lovingly as we walked to class.

Teacher-"How do you find the area of a square MISS BUSWELL"
D-"Yeah urm radius squared times pie"
Teacher-"Really that's the area of a square"
D-"Oh"

The whole class burst out laughing including me. Joe kissed me on the cheek then whispered "you seriously need to stop falling asleep in class" "I know I know" We all laughed, at least I was laughing with everyone and wasn't getting laughed at. Anyway, this day was going very quickly, which I was very happy about it. We were in the last hour and a half of the day and we were practising our next dance, which I'm so excited for.

D-"Soooo our next dance is Way Down We Go"
J-"Yessss"
D-"You're excited then"
J-"So excited"
Joe was jumping up and down like a kangaroo and I was stood observing.
D-"Good"
J-"I love dancing with you why wouldn't I be"
D-"I don't know"
I joined Joe in jumping up and down like a lunatic. We both eventually stopped and were in fits of giggles. I loved being like this; happy and free. Apart we are strong but together we are indestructible. I stopped giggling and look at Joe with a lot of love and happiness in my eyes.

J-"What"
D-"Urm Nothing"
J-"You sure"
D-"I just love you like a lot a lot"
J-"I love you more"
D-"Not possible"

Joe and I smirked at each other before he walked over to me and hugged me. A hug is such a simple thing yet it can mean so much. It can mean: I'm sorry, I care, It's going to be okay, I love you, I miss you and so on. It's so small but so powerful. I looked up at Joe and kissed him. I really have got lucky.
