I told them. I better get a fucking apology after this. "Sir, shouldn't we go over and help? I was just in Hosu, it's really close!" I asked. "No. We should stay here because of how close we are. If villains were to come here and we were in Hosu, what would happen to the citizens under our protection?" "They would be in danger without us..." I responded. Hakamata sent out a few of his staff to patrol the city, and we stayed seated in front of the TV. I felt my phone buzz and Bakugo's went off too. We both exchanged a glance then took our phone's out. "Deku. Tch, whatever." Bakugo muttered. "Bakugo, Midoriya isn't the type to just send his location and nothing else. He could be in trouble!" I persisted, worried. "Who cares, he can get out of it himself." "Besides, I'm sure he's with his mentor, he'll be alright. And you must stay here, it's out of our hands." Hakamata said firmly and reassuringly, holding eye contact. I knew this was a simple technique used to calm people when saving them, but it still works well. I let out a sigh and put my phone back in my pocket and leaned backwards into my seat.

"Making an appearance tonight to help resolve this awful attack is Number Two hero, Endeavor!" the reporter announced. My heart sunk with the name Endeavor. "Todoroki..." I whispered in a hushed tone. I saw Endeavor on screen, but his son was nowhere to be seen. I studied the screen for a while, without luck. The camera view switched to a helicopter, showing an overview of the city. I scanned every part of the screen, and suddenly the orange glow of fire caught my eye, just peeking out of an alleyway. I stared intensely at the alley, and saw a small, almost unnoticeable ice spike poke over the top of a building, then I watched it shatter and fall. I flung my hands up to cover my mouth as I let out a muffled gasp of alarm. "What is it (Y/n)?" Hakamata questioned, concern in his voice. "T- Todoroki-" I choked out and pointed at the alley way. "What?" "Shoto Todoroki, Endeavor's son. I know for sure that's where he is. He's in danger!" I cried, then shot out of my seat and bolted for the door, only to be pulled back by Tsunagu's quirk.

"Let me go!" I screamed, flailing around. "Even if I let you go right now, you'd never get there in time. I've seen his fighting ability, and can assure you that he will be alright." "How do you know?! How... I can't let him get hurt!" I yelled louder, my heart in my throat and tears in my eyes. I sharpened my feathers and detached them, shuffling them around, trying to cut the thread. I felt my wings cut through one layer, but looked and saw that every large spool of thread and even my own clothes were restraining me. I softened my feathers and fell to my knees. I felt the threads and fibers unwind, leaving me unrestrained. I sat and cried, then Hakamata came over and helped me up, leading me back to my seat. I sniffled and wiped my tears on my sleeve. I let out a sigh and continue to watch the report until a few minutes later when it switched to the police dragging away Hero Killer: Stain in heavy restraints, and reporters gathered around Endeavor. I searched the background and saw my classmates, Iida, Midoriya, and Todoroki all beaten, bruised and bloody. I saw blood trickling down from two gashes in Todoroki's arm and a cut under his eye. I clenched my fists and my jaw in frustration. "You could've helped. You were so close. This is your fault... I you'd just been there and helped him, you could've done something. Now he's hurt and it's all your fault." I thought to myself. "I'm going to my room. Goodnight." I said bitterly, then flew up the stairs, hearing a quiet "Goodnight" from Hakamata.

Why do I feel like this? It's weird. Should I go talk to her? Uh, hm. Nah. Should I? "UGH. Fine!" I burst out, slammed my hands on the table, startling Hakamata and I stormed upstairs. I stood in front of her door and knocked. There was silence for a while, and I turned away to go to my room, but heard a faint "Come in." I opened the door gingerly and saw (Y/n) slumped over, sitting on the edge of her bed, facing a window with her head in her hands. I stepped inside and walked over to the bed, then took a seat opposite from her, my back facing her's. "Uh- m. A-are you ok?" I asked. Great job, Katsuki, of course she's not ok. "It's not your fault. I can kinda imagine how you feel." "Really? How?" she asked, lifting her head a bit. "Well, um. UGH." "If you don't wanna tell me that's ok." she said. "No, it's ok. I'm just saying if that was Kirishima out there... let's just say Hakamata would have to do a lot better than that to keep me here." "I get it, you're stronger than me." she mumbled, defeated. "No, that not what I meant-" "Besides, you wanting to save your best friend isn't the same as this." "Um. I mean, that would be true if I were saving Sero or Denki... but with Kirishima, it's..." I mumbled, feeling my face heat up a bit. "WHY DID I SAY THAT?!" I screamed in my head.

"Wait- you and Kirishima?" she said, and looked at me. "Uhhh... I mean... not yet but I yeah... BUT DON'T TELL ANYONE OR I'LL KILL YOU!" I panicked. "I promise I won't. I think it's sweet. And if I have to die I'd prefer it not be by your hands, haha." She smiled half heartedly. "HEY WHAT WAS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?" "Nothing. I'm tired, I'm gonna get ready for bed." she said with a yawn. I got up and walked towards the door, and right before I closed it behind me I heard her say "Hey, Bakugou?" "What?" "...Thanks." "Don't mention it. No, seriously, mention it and I'll make your life miserable." I responded, and heard her laugh as I closed the door. I headed downstairs and found Hakamata. "Hey-" He raised an eyebrow and I sighed in frustration and corrected myself. "Best Jeanist, sir, could you allow (Y/n) to sleep in an hour or two tomorrow? I just talked with her and I think it would do her some good." "This is a surprise, Bakugo. You don't seem the type to show concern for a peer, but perhaps your aggression gives you something to bond over. I'll allow it." "Thank you, sir." I said, then hurried upstairs and went to bed.
