(Y/n's P.O.V)
My alarm went off, but when I turned to turn it off, I saw a note covering the screen "You've been permitted 1 1/2 hours of sleep in time" I read aloud tiredly. Hm, ok. Maybe it's just a thing the office does for moral boosting with interns. I set a timer and flopped back over and fell asleep. When the timer went off, I got out of bed too fast giving myself a head rush. I stumbled around for a second, one hand on my head as if holding it straight. I let out a sigh, straightened myself out, then got dressed and head down the stairs. I saw Bakugo and Hakamata having a one sided argument, and Bakugo was wearing his hero costume. I caught Hakamata's eye and mouthed "patrol?" and he gave a subtle nod. I flew to my room and changed. When I got downstairs I almost completely forgot what had happened, but Hakamata explained "In light of the events last night, we must be vigilant and make our presence known to the public by more routine patrols throughout the day." Suddenly images flashed through my head, reminding me of everything that happened. I staggered a bit, then pushed forward, continuing to walk. Every time we passed a jumbo tron broadcasting replays of last night, I teared up, my head screaming "IT'S YOUR FAULT IT'S YOUR FAULT HE GOT HURT HOW COULD YOU LET HIM GET HURT IT SHOULD'VE BEEN YOU IT SHOULD'VE BEEN YOU YOU COULD'VE HELPED" He matters too much to me, why did I let it happen? The police are no match for a fucking bundle of flying razors! "You shouldn't hurt people." I silently scolded myself. "but it's so fun, isn't it?" a small voice in the back of my head asked. I always knew about these thoughts, but they'd never been so loud.
"Wait- there." I stopped abruptly, a figure catching my eye. I pointed in the direction of the person down the street. "What is it?" Hakamata said, concerned. I concentrated and peered into the shadows, and began to describe what I saw "Estimated 7 feet, shoulder length dark hair, thin, pale skin, gonna guess male, rusted, serrated machete in left hand." Bakugo looked confused and Hakamata's expression darkened "Exact location? And have we been spotted?" "Look away from him." I hissed, and I continued to walk, making a quick motion for them to follow. "He turned our way, but I don't believe we've been acknowledged as a threat yet. Exact location is beside a dumpster in the second to last alley on the street across from us." "Alright. We're going to have to push him further back into the alley to avoid any citizen casualties. We've seen this man become more active in the past month, haven't been able to confront him until now." "What should we do?" "BLOW HIM UP!" Bakugo screamed out in anger, sparks flying from his palms. "IDIOT." I hissed, glancing towards the guy. I caught Bakugo's hand and dragged him into a back street, and beckoned Hakamata to join us.
"So, what has this guy done." I asked, wanting to gain understanding of what we were dealing with. "Mostly petty theft, but also gorey hack-job murders. We've gotten witness reports, but we've never found him. We assumed he'd be out at night, as that's when victims have been found." "Well, he's here now, in the middle of the day. What's our best course of action? And don't say blow him up." I asked, adding the last part when I saw Bakugo open his mouth to comment. "Getting the high ground would be crucial. Ok, listen: (Y/n), could you fly me up onto the building?" I nodded, then he continued. "(Y/n) will fly Bakugo and I up onto the building he's next to, then (Y/n), you'll send down feathers to disarm him. Bakugo, you blast yourself down there and pin him down. Once he's immobilized, I'll use my quirk to keep him that way until the police arrive. I've already contacted them." "Alright." I responded and Bakugo rolled his eyes and nodded. I grabbed Hakamata's wrist, got a firm hold, then went to grab Bakugo's, but realized that he had the gauntlets. I sighed, then grabbed him by the waist. "WHAT THE FU-" "Shut up, you're the one with the dorky gauntlets, 'Lord Explosion Murder'." I opened my wings, then pushed down, sending dust and trash flying, then steadied my wing beats, and flew over, taking a roundabout way to avoid any attention. We landed silently on top of the building, and I peered over the edge. "Shit-" I growled in frustration. "What?"
