(Shoto's P.O.V)

I woke up and stretched, then got out of bed. I got ready for the day, then checked my phone. There was a message from the class chat, and when I checked it, it was (Y/n) asking if anyone was awake. I sighed and put my phone away, and started thinking. I had felt so awful since she's gotten back. I was so close, I could've saved her, but I failed. I watched her get taken, then took out my anger on other people. She has hardly said anything to me since then, and I can't help but think she's angry at me. Yeah, we held hands for a while last night, but she's been so quiet and distant. Nothing like the (Y/n) I know and love. Maybe... Maybe we should split? Would that give her more space? I just want to make her happy, and I want what's best for her... I think that might be it. If we broke up, then... I don't know. I'll think about it later. During breakfast, (Y/n) didn't even glance at me, and my anxiety grew about her hating me. Why wouldn't she? She's had so many people fail her up to this point, and I'm just another one. After a brief discussion in class, we changed into hero costumes and when to a place called Gym Gamma. I saw (Y/n) shifting in her costume, almost looking guilty about it.

(Y/n's P.O.V)

I feel so weird in my costume... I keep remembering the villain costume I had, and when I blink, sometimes my shirt looks like the cloak, or my gloves shift to have long claws. It's messing with me a bit. Shoto has been looking at me all day, and I wonder what he's thinking about. I feel bad I haven't said much to him lately, I just don't know what I'd say to him in the first place. Maybe we could go out sometime this week, catch up, I could tell him what's going on... Yeah, that sounds good. Well, time for training! I flew up to one of the highest platforms and an Ectoplasm clone joined me. "So, Takami, do you have any ideas? Feel free to test them, and if the clone is destroyed, I'll send up a new one." "Ok. I have had an idea for a while. I came up this is when I was a kid. This is one of them, and it's more effective during the day, so... yeah." I explained, trailing off, seeing an explosion of ice and fire come from a near by platform. "Well, let's see it." the clone responded, and I snapped back to attention and nodded. I tapped the button on my visor, and it became shaded, then I took off, flying towards the sun. I'd seen Keigo do this plenty of times, keeping the sun behind him, making yourself virtually invisible. I flew high up, until I knew I couldn't be seen, then keeping the sun behind me, hiding my position, I shot down. As I hurtled downward, I pulled out my two longest feathers and hardened them like katanas. I leaned forward into a sort of flip, sending myself spinning like a giant saw, eventually landing and splitting the concrete, and of course, the clone. I watched it melt away, then froze, my mind racing with the images of the life draining from the heroes in the ally. I staggered and subconsciously held my breath, and having a coughing fit.

"He's ok, it's just a clone." "Ah!" I yelped, turning around quickly. "Oh, All Might. Hi." I sighed, and shook my head softly. "Are you alright? You seem shaken by something." "Yeah, I'm ok. Just, thinking about a lot of stuff. But anyway, what did you think about the move?" I asked. "It was quite impressive. Left um, quite the impression as well." He responded, gesturing to the ground, which had two long gashes down the middle. He waved down to Cementoss and it began to be sealed, then he continued "But you were very dependent on the time of day for that, and as seen with the camp, not all battles are fought in the light. So while good in concept, not very effective in other situations. And also, the goal is not to kill the villain, but to immobilize them. Which was very clearly not accomplished here..." He doesn't sound like All Might... and then I saw the corner of a book sticking out from his back, and I stifled a laugh. "Thanks, All Might. I have another idea, but it's a bit challenging. But I haven't tried since before camp, so maybe I'll be able to do now." I said, and finally another clone joined us. "Well, lets see it." All Might said, then stepped back. I sighed, closed my eyes, then hardened my feathers and shot them out around me, making a globe around the clone and I. I could feel everything that each feather picked up, and I could feel a headache coming on, but I made them start spinning, and I jumped towards one of the walls, landing on a wider feather, and increasing the speed of the rotations, confusing the clone as I jumped from wall to wall and eventually jumping into the middle and pinning down the clone once I was sure that it had lost track of me. I recalled the feathers, then let go of the clone and turned back to All Might. "So?" I prompted. "Impressive, especially for an undeveloped move. But wouldn't you get dizzy? And what about multiple enemies? Or if they have a quirk that can't be held in your fist?" "Well, I don't get dizzy so that won't be an issue. Growing up with the ability to fly helps with that. And for multiple enemies or enemies who can liquefy or something in that field... hmm. I could probably create a vacuum of some sorts if I angled my feathers the right way... Oh! That could work. Like Kamui, I could capture all enemies at once by creating a vacuum around them." I responded, thinking aloud. A group of 5 clones joined me, and All Might gave a thumbs up then moved on.

After training, I decided to head down to the development studio and ask for some improvements. Like more storage in my costume, some wider range, slimmer communicators. Cause I have a headset, but I only got one crappy radio along with it that I could give to someone else to talk to. Also maybe thickening my vest, cause I have cut up my back a few times practicing certain moves. I heard an explosion a few halls over, around where the studio was, and I started running. When I arrived, Iida, Ochaco, and Midoriya were all there, but Midoriya was on the floor in a rather... interesting situation. Midoriya looked extremely uncomfortable, and Ochaco looked angry and surprised. "Well, looks like I arrived to the party late." I joked, then walked over and hoisted the girl off of him and over my shoulder before putting her down. "Who even are you?" I asked, and she looked insulted but excited. She ignored me and started talking to the others, and Midoriya's face was red. "Oh, sorry about the sudden explosion. It's been a while, huh? Class 1-A, right? Uh... Yeah, I forgot all your names already." She said in a carefree voice, and poor Midoriya was shaking and blushing. "Uh, Izuku Midoriya. H-" "I'm Tenya Iida! The man you tricked into being a walking advertisement during the sports festival." Iida shouted, and she just responded with a quick "Never heard a' ya! Well, I'm busy developing new babies, so, bye!" then walked away. "Ignorant airhead... my least favorite kind of person, hooray." I grumbled under my breath, quiet enough for no one to hear. "Wait a second, please! I wanted to ask Mr. Power Loader about improving some elements of my costume?" Midoriya said, stepping forward. "WHAT? YOU CAN COUNT ME IN!" She shouted, pivoting around and lunging toward him, and I winced at the loud noise. "Hatsume! It's fine for you to be in and out of the studio all day since you're in the dorms, but if you stop following my instructions and keep running wild in here... You're banned." Power Loader scolded, stepping out of the studio to join us. "Um. Hello." Midoriya mumbled. "I heard from Erasure Head. You're here to upgrade those costumes for your new moves, yes? Come in." He responded, and Ochaco finally relaxed and chuckled nervously.

We walked in and there was stuff scattered everywhere. "Ooh! This looks like a top-secret lab!" Midoriya observed, and I nodded. "Now. Hand over your instructions, please. They should've been with the case your costume was delivered in. I have a license to make costumes, so I'm allowed to do some mild tinkering with those that were made out-of-house. For small changes and repairs, I can simply report what I altered to the design company. They'll do the paperwork for me. But, for major changes, we'll have to fill out an application and ask the design professionals to make the adjustments for us. After that's completed, the government will make sure the new costume meets certain standards. When approved, it'll be sent back here. And we work with the best design agencies available. So there's usually just a three day turn around." Power Loader explained, and I took out the papers and handed them to him, and Hatsume was greedily eyeing Midoriya's. Midoriya started explaining what he needed done, and I started glaring sideways at Hatsume. Something about her was so incredibly infuriating, but I'm not sure what. Suddenly Hatsume started grabbing and feeling up Midoriya, and Ochaco started not so subtly freaking out. If you could've killed with a stare, Hatsume would've died on the spot, from either Ochaco or I. Hatsume started flipping out and shoved him in a suit, and I watched in silence. I watched her bother and play around with my friends, and I zoned out, trying not to have a violent outburst. I heard something hissing, and I saw them back towards the door, and I snapped out of it just in time for something to explode. When we were blasted out into the hallway, I got up off the floor then lunged towards her, my annoyance and frustration bubbling over. I felt a pair of hands grab my legs and hold me back, so I fell forward and face down. I saw a flash of white on my vision on impact, and I felt something warm on my face. When I saw up and wiped my face, blood covered my hand. I pulled off my gloves and covered my face with a hand, then turned to see a guilty looking Midoriya backing away. I felt my eyebrow twitch with anger, then let out a sigh and forced down my anger. "Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry (Y/n)! Are you alri-" " "I'm ok, Midoriya. My nose doesn't feel broken, so I think we're good. I just need a tissue or something. I'll be right back." I said, blood dripping from my hand at this point. I walked away, not wanting to talk anymore until I could fully shove down that anger. I walked to ward nearest bathroom and used paper towels to clean up all the blood, then glared into my own eyes in the mirror and let the last of the blood drip down my face and into a sink. I wiped my face one more time, then head back. Everyone else had left without me, so I just told Power Loader what I needed then left, gently shoving Hatsume out of my way when she tried to talk to me before I left.
