(Y/n's P.O.V)
We walked back to the office to switch off with the other patrol team, and when we arrived and the team left, Hakamata turned to us and said "Well done on your first mission, interns. Especially you, Peregrine." I gave a weak smile at the use of my hero name, and it truly did make me happy, but I was so tired, scared, and sad to care. "Thank you, Sir." "Well, you're dismissed. Be back in 3 hours for the next patrol round." He said, and Bakugo and I trudged upstairs to rest.
After that, the rest of the internship is a blur. Just patrol after patrol, nothing particularly exciting. I kinda went into autopilot to avoid overwhelming myself with thoughts, still focused on Todoroki and my other classmates.
~Return home~
I got off the train and searched the crowd with no luck. I cast my eyes downward and started walking home. I didn't feel like flying anyway. I stepped out of the train station, but heard footsteps behind me moving slightly faster than the others. I looked over my shoulder and saw Todoroki. "(Y-Y/n)? Why are you crying?" he asked, stopping suddenly. I scanned him, noticing the bandaid on his cheek and bandages on his arm. I blinked, sending more tears down my face. "Todoroki. I'm sorry." I whimpered, standing, arms limp at my sides. "What?" he asked, confused. "I'm sorry. I was so close, but I didn't do anything! I knew what was happening and I couldn't do anything! I could've helped you! I could've protected you. If I had just flown over, I was so close-" I was cut off by Todoroki pulling me into a hug. "It's not your fault." he said, squeezing me gently. "But- I could've done something! And Midoriya, and Iida... I could've helped. I couldn't even keep you safe..." I sobbed into his chest, gripping his shirt like my life depended on it. He lifted my chin and swiped his thumb across my cheek, wiping away my tears. I let out another sob and rested my forehead against his chest. "I told you, it's not your fault. I was worried about you too."

Ever since I saw the report on my phone about the murderer and Best Jeanist's interns in Tokyo center, I had been silently freaking out. "What if she got hurt? What if something happened?" "After I saw the report on you, Bakugo, and Best Jeanist stopping that guy I was scared that you had gotten hurt." I said quietly, resting my chin on top of her head. "Really?" "Yeah, I don't want you to get hurt either. I'd blame myself too." I admitted. We both let out a sigh and she gently pulled away from my arms. "Hey, Todoroki, (Y/n)!" I heard Midoriya's voice yell. I laughed a little as (Y/n) got startled and jumped a bit, her feathers standing on end like scared cat. "M-Midoriya, Iida!" she yelped, face turning red. "Hello, (Y/n), nice to see you." Iida said. "Nice to see you too." She said. "(Y/N)!!!" Midoriya yelled, throwing his arms around her in a big hug. She was startled, but started laughing. "Hi, Deku!" she laughed, and he jumped backwards and started nervously rubbing the back of his head and laughing, face pink in embarrassment. I watched her eyes skip from bandage to bandage on Iida and Midoriya's bodies, and saw her happy expression falter. Her eyes became downcast, and I could she the guilt on her face. I rested my hand on her shoulder, and Iida asked her what was wrong.
"I know what happened." she said. They immediately looked to me, and I shook my head. "How-? No one was supposed to know." Iida stumbled through the sentence. "On tv. I saw the glow of Todoroki's flames away from the rest of the fire, and I saw one of the ice spikes too. Also way in the background I could see you guys when they were locking up Stain." she explained. "What, how?" Iida asked again, then Midoriya piped up "She has incredible eyesight, like that of a peregrine falcon! I was walking home from school one time and she was super high up and I waved to her and-" "Ok, understood." Iida interrupted. "I understand that no one can know. I won't say a thing." she responded. "Ok! Wanna walk home together guys? I wanna ask (Y/n) more about how she defeated that murderer!" Midoriya said, getting out a notebook and pencil. "I have to get home. Sorry everyone."Iida responded. "I'm sure your mother is anxious to see you, Deku." I said. "But I can tell you when we get back to school!" I said. "Oh, yeah, you're right! I gotta get home too! Bye (Y/n), bye Todoroki!" he said, and ran off. "Want to walk together?" I asked. She looked surprised for a second, then nodded. "Whose house first?" She asked. "Mine's pretty close. I'm not sure where your's is, but it's getting a bit dark and cloudy, so should we get you home first?" "Uh, sure. If you want. You can borrow an umbrella for the walk home if you want." She offered. We started walking in the direction of her house when there was a loud 'BOOM' of thunder, quickly followed by a downpour of rain. She let out a surprised shriek and then started laughing loudly. She grabbed my hand and we started running through the rain, getting completely soaked. She smiled and laughed, letting out the occasional scream at thunder or lightning. I laughed too, and let her pull my arm as we ran, and she would occasionally suddenly stop and jump in a puddle, splashing me.
