(Shoto's P.O.V)

Uraraka and Tsu joined us in the clearing, I could hear them, but I didn't look up. I kept my gaze on the ground, and felt hot tears slide down my face. "I can't believe I let them get taken..." I whispered, then punched the ground. "It's not your fault, Todoroki." Tokoyami assured me. "They were right there. I watched them get taken!" I pushed, my tears now from frustration. "We all did, and none of us were able to do anything either." he replied. "But (Y/n)... I need to protect her! I failed, Tokoyami! They took her!" I yelled, and Tsu came over. "Todoroki, please calm down. (Y/n) is strong, we all know this. If anything, she might break herself and Bakugo out. She would want you to remain calm, and you know she wants you to be happy, so don't be too hard on yourself." I looked up at her and her calm face then back down at my hands. I reached up and wiped away my tears, smudging dirt on my face. I stood up with some help from her and we all headed back to camp. I watched my classmates get loaded into ambulances and the helicopters overhead put out the fires.

"T-Todoroki?" I turned "Oh, Aoyama." "Um, I wanted to tell you something an apologize." "What is it?" "I watched her get captured." I looked at him for a second, then felt rage bubble up inside me. Doing my best to hold it in, I asked "And you didn't do anything? You didn't even try to help? What kind of classmate are you?! You watched her get taken away and did nothing?!" I started shouting at him and lunged towards him, but Iida and Kirishima rushed over and held me back. "What's going on, Todoroki?" Iida asked. "Haven't you noticed?! Bakugo wasn't the only one captured! Some class rep you are!" I snapped. "What? I thought I had counted. Now that you mention it, (Y/n) isn't here, but I thought she had already been transported to the hospital. This is troublesome." Iida replied. I let out a yell of anger at his stupidity and lunged towards him now, Kirishima holding me back. "Hey, hey! You're not the only one who lost someone tonight! I couldn't even leave the building to try and help, so calm down." Kirishima shouted, straining against me. I regained my composure, then walked away, not wanting to deal with this anymore. I went into the building and grabbed my stuff, then knocked on the girl's room door. The door opened up and Mina greeted me. "Hey, Todoroki. You came to grab (Y/n)'s stuff, didn't you?" She held up (Y/n)'s bags. I nodded and took them. "Thank you Ashido." "No problem." She responded, and as I turned to walk back outside she said "Todoroki?" "Yeah?" "I'm sorry."

~Next day~
I went to (Y/n)'s house, and knocked on the door. "Hello? Oh, Todoroki, what are you doing here?" (Y/n)'s mother greeted me. "I wanted to drop off (Y/n)'s stuff. And pick up Karasu. I'm so sorry about your daughter. I tried to save her. I was so close..." I trailed off, feeling guilty. "Oh it's alright. I'm sure she's alright. And she's a fighter. We've realized this and we know she'll be ok. Especially with someone back home like you who will stand up and protect her no matter what. Even the first time he meets her parents." (Y/n)'s father chuckled. I gave a weak smile then went into (Y/n)'s room. I set down the bags on her bed, then looked around. Suddenly Karasu squawked excitedly and flapped over to me and landed on my shoulder, and started looking around expectantly. "Sorry Karasu. She's not here. But I'll bring her back."

(All Might's P.O.V)

Reporters and camera crew clamored outside, and the staff held a meeting. "That training camp was meant to prepare students to handle villain attacks. The irony is shameful. We knew the League would resurface. But we lacked a fundamental understanding of their plans. They aim to destroy hero society. And they've already started their war." Nezu started, and Midnight replied "Even if we had understood, could we really have avoided this attack? They're moving pieces we didn't even know they possessed. Besides, All Might put an end to most organized crime. We're all rusty." "We've definitely gotten complacent during peaceful times without realizing it. I guess deep down we all thought we'd be ridin' the sweet life for good." Mic added. I looked down at my desk in guilt and sighed "I will never forgive myself for such cowardly ignorance. While our students were fighting desperately for their lives, I was just having a relaxing soak in the bath." I thought of Bakugo and young Takami, and got concerned, remembering what I'd heard about Takami, and how she's acted in the past. "We shouldn't've had the sports festival right after the USJ attack. We wanted to show that we were still strong. To have not one, but two students kidnapped is our greatest failure as teachers. They've taken Bakugo and Takami, and society's faith in heroes away from us." Snipe said, frustration clear in his voice. "I agree. Every news outlet is currently condemning UA High. If those two were two of the main targets, it's likely because the villains noticed his violent tendencies during the sports festival broadcast. As for Takami, I have no idea where they found out about her, but if one of them ends up joining the side of the villains... that'll be the end of UA as a school." Nezu said. "I'm especially concerned about Takami. She doesn't seem to care about how her actions affect her peers. She has gotten slightly better, but not too long ago one of our janitors found her classmate, Mineta, bent over, bruised, and with vomit on his uniform. When asked what happened, he said he had angered her. And I don't believe all of you have seen her first training session recording yet." I said, standing up and showing the tape of her throwing Yaoyorozu around and taping Mineta to the ceiling, and sneaking around through shadows.

"Ah, yes. That is troubling. The news outlets are especially outraged that we lost her, as she is the younger sibling of the Number Three hero at the moment, Hawks. Although, Hawks himself seems to have not said anything towards UA bout this. He actually seems unconcerned with this whole event, even though his sister was taken. But yes, Takami has displayed troublesome behavior in the past, but I choose to trust that she'll make the right decision." Nezu responded. "So what she said about her family was true." "Since we're on the topic of trust, there's something I think has to be voiced now. At this point, we can't deny it anymore, can we? There's a traitor at this school. Only the teachers and the Pussycats knew where the training camp would be. Don't you think that's a little suspicious? I guess a kid could've used their phone to message a villain, but-" Midnight cut him off and said "Stop this, Mic." "What's the problem? We have to find who the leak is!" he responded, his voice sounding upset in childlike complaining way. "Could be you for all we know. You got any proof you're a 100% innocent? Can we know everyone in that room is an ally?" Snipe asked, challenging him. Present Mic growled back in frustration, and Snipe continued "If we start doubtin' each other we'll destroy ourselves from the inside. Accusing a traitor isn't somethin' we should take lightly." "At the very least, I trust everyone sitting at this table. Though, there's also no way for me to prove to all of you that I am innocent. For the moment, what we must do as a school is concentrate on guaranteeing the safety of our student body. This is a good time to implement something I've wanted to put in place for a while. You see, I-" my phone cut off Nezu, and I quickly turned it off and excused myself. Once I left, I stood outside the door and muttered to myself "What Symbol of Peace can't even keep his students safe from harm? What hero can't?" I picked up the phone and listened. It was from my friend, the police chief. I listened to what he found, and when he asked for my help, I responded with "And when I get there I know exactly what I'll say to them. 'I am here, to make you pay for what you've done.'"
