Once we went through the portal, Bakugo and I were strapped to chairs, and I was dragged behind a purple curtain away from my classmate. I stretched my wings, and they made a soft clattering noise as what was left of my feathers brushed past each other.
For those unknowing or confused, this is what happens when feathers are scorched. Your wings look like this except you have no full feathers or any with the soft part still attached. Your wings are just a mass of the feather shafts, so they kinda look like a skeleton of some sort. Also, this picture is sad. Forest fires are bad for the birbs, so Dabi needs to frick off and stop burning birds.
I heard Shigaraki talking to Bakugo in the other room, and after a while, Dabi came into the room I was being kept in. "So, kid. I heard you might be a good villain. Why do they say that about you?" he asked, looking uninterested and annoyed. "Why should I tell you?" I asked. "Cause. So, what do you think of Stain?" he responded. "Ah, the hero killer. The man who could've killed the only people I cared about in Hosu, but didn't. And someone with the same beliefs as me." I said, staring at Dabi to catch his reaction. "Oh, you agree with him, do you? And why is that? Is it because of your brother? Met him once or twice, and I can see why you'd dislike him... or even hate him... after spending so many years around that ego of his. He's exactly the kind of person Stain looks to eliminate." Dabi said, and I subconsciously relaxed, due to a shared view with someone. "Hero is a misunderstood and corrupted word. Today the word hero has been confused with celebrity a disgusting amount of times. It used to mean something. Celebrities seek fame. They take actions to get attention. Heroes are those who have truly risked something to save others. I intend to be a hero." I said, looking down at my lap. I waited 6 seconds, then lunged forward as hard as I could, but as it fell forward, Dabi caught it and sat it back upright. "Cute trick, but even if it had worked, I don't think a chair is enough to take me out. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you've displayed fierce protectiveness over your classmates, right? Hey, this was fun. Let me know if you ever want to make a deal with us over Bakugo's life, alright?" Dabi smirked, then walked out of the room, the curtain flying out behind him. I rested my head back in the chair and sighed. After a few minutes, a girl skipped into the room. "Hi there! I'm Himiko Toga, and we're gonna be best friends!" she shouted, then flung herself towards me and wrapped her arms around me in a tight, awkward hug. I felt a searing pain on my cheek, and instinctively went completely still. After a few seconds, she pulled away, holding a bloody scalpel. I felt warm, sticky blood drip down my face. I kept a straight face and stared at her. "There, now you're perfect! I just thought I'd like you better if you bled more!" she laughed, then pulled a chair into the room and sat down in front of me. "So, bestie, what do you want to talk about?" I asked, spitting out the blood that had trickled into my mouth. "Ahaha! Let's talk about boys, (Y/n)! I can call you that, right? Of course I can, we're best friends! Do you like anyone? I like that boy, Izuku! He was all beat up and bloody, I love it. He's so handsome!" Toga shrieked excitedly. "Don't tell her about him, you'll put him in danger." "Oh wow, Himiko. I'm so sorry, but there isn't really anyone." I told her. "Aww, come on, (Y/n). There must be someone! Oh, what about Bakugo?" she pressed, and I remembered the time at the internship when I walked into Bakugo's room as he got out of the shoulder and my face turned red. "OH! So it is him! Cuuuuute~" "STUPID BRAIN, UGH!" I shouted at myself silently. "Toga, it's time to leave." I heard a voice out in the main room. "Ok! Bye bye, bestie! See you tomorrow!" Himiko said, bouncing out the door. "Bye." I said flatly. I want to build relationships with them, in case this takes a long time. Forming trust will be important for escape. I fell asleep, head lolled back.
