(Y/n's P.O.V)

When I woke up the next day after the mall, I went into the kitchen to find a note and a half empty bag of Konpeito. I read the note, which was in Keigo's sloppy handwriting, and it said "Thanks for the Konpeito, (Y/n). You may be an absolute pain, but you're still a good sister." I held the note for a moment, then crumpled it up and threw it on my desk, not believing it for a second. That was a few days ago now, and the girls of 1-A had gotten permission to use the school pool. Shortly after we got there Midoriya joined us, and invited the rest of the boys to do endurance training. We started a game of volleyball, and had a lot of fun, but then Hagakure said "Hey, (Y/n). I think Shoto is trying to get your attention." I turned, and felt my face turn red. He wasn't intentionally trying to get my attention, in fact he wasn't even looking at me, but my attention was certainly on him. Suddenly we made eye contact across the pool, and suddenly I felt a hand grab onto one of my suit's straps and pull it down. I grabbed onto it right on time, and I glanced back over and his face was red and he walked away.

"WHO DID THAT?!" I shrieked, waiting for an answer. When no one responded, I made a weird cry noise then sunk myself into the water. I heard the girls start to laugh, and I stayed underwater. I didn't care if I needed to breathe, I'd die of embarrassment if I go up, so I might as well drown. Kyoka walked over and bent down to haul me up. "Let go." I demanded. "No." "Why not." "I'm not going to watch you drown." "Why not." "Cause I don't want to." "Why not." "Cause I'm training to be a hero and watching my friend die will look bad on my record." "Fair point." I said, standing up so Kyoka didn't have to hold me out of the water. "Sorry, (Y/n). It was me and Toru's idea." Mina sighed. I gave her and Toru's general direction a furious glare. "If I still know you two when you get boyfriends, you better watch yourselves." I said, menacingly, then slammed my wings down in the water to splash them. The wave was big enough to push them underwater, but when they got up, Toru said "Yeah, we probably deserved that."

We continued the game and after a while, we heard the boys purpose a 50 meter swim race, and came over. Bakugo, Koda, Mineta, Tokoyami, and Kaminari were the first ones up. Of course Bakugo gve zero shits and shot himself completely over the pool. "How was that, ya sidekicks?!" he yelled, and Sero and Kirishima yelled back "What do you think you're doing?!" "You didn't even touch the water!" "IT'S CALLED FREESTYLE SWIMMING!" Bakugo screamed back, and I started laughing so hard my stomach hurt. And of course Shoto nonchalantly did the same thing and made an ice path over the water. I face palmed and laughed. The last group went, and Midoriya barely beat Iida. I watch them and Shoto afterwards, and they all exchanged serious looks. I thought for a second then said "Hey, why are only the boys doing this? I wanna race too. Anyone else?" I asked the girls. Mina, Uraraka, and Tsu all agreed. We got up on the starter block, and with the blow of the whistle, we went off. I hardened my feathers, making them more streamlined and less waterlogged, and folded them slightly. I used to watch videos of different birds to know how to do certain tasks with my wings. Swimming was something I picked up from watching puffins. They're not the most elegant on land, but amazing underwater. I started flapping with my wings angled, and it propelled me forward at incredible speed. I looked to my sides, and saw Mina and Tsu, as Uraraka had gone above the water. I met eyes with Tsu, and we nodded, making it a 1v1 race between us. I flapped my wings harder, and like Midoriya, I won by a split second. I softened my wings and felt them become heavy with water. I hauled myself out of the water and let them hang, unfolded, at my sides.

"Good race, kero." Tsu said, hopping out of the water. "Yeah, you too, Tsu." just then Uraraka and Mina finished. "Hey guys, good job!" I said, smiling. "Your only saying that cause you won." Mina grumbled. "Huh?" I said, a little hurt. "Yeah... It sounded a little mean from the person who won, and you're not always the nicest." Uraraka agreed. "Oh, well. It wasn't my intention. Sorry." I said, and walked away. "It's time for the final race. Bakugo. Todoroki. Midoriya. Takami. As winners of each heat, you'll fight for first place. Understand?" Iida announced. "Got it." Midoriya said, enthusiastically. "Yes." Todorki agreed. I just nodded. "Listen up, scarface. Don't you dare hold back like you did a the sports festival. Bring everything you've got!" Bakugo challenged. I grimaced at the scarface comment, and the voice said "Remember how easy it would be to kill him." I clenched my jaw and fought away the thoughts in my head. "I will." Todoroki said, almost menacingly. "You too! Fight to win." Bakugo said, turning to Midoriya. "Yeah! I will. I promise." he replied with determination. "And you. Now is the time to say something if you want to drop out." Bakugo sneered. "Shut up." I replied, simply. "Then the 50-meter freestyle race will now begin!" Iida announced, we got onto the starting blocks. "Blow em' away, Bakugo!" Kirishima encouraged. "Don't kill the other swimmers!" Kaminari reminded. "You got this, Todoroki!" Sero yelled in support. "You can do it Deku!" Uraraka screamed. "Do your best everyone!" Momo said. I was a little crestfallen at the lack of support for me, but then I heard Kyoka say "(Y/n)! You're gonna beat them, I just know it." I smiled at her, then turned back towards the water, hardening my feathers and folding my wings slightly. "Now, on your marks." Iida said, and we all got into position. "Get set." he continued, then the whistle blew.
