(Y/n's P.O.V)
We glided along for a while, then Keigo started to bank lower, making a spiraling descent. I folded my wings and shot down the center of the spiral, throwing him off balance. I watch as he wobbled and flapped his wings chaotically to regain his altitude. I smirked as he growled quietly and we landed. We walked up to a large, traditional Japanese house. My brother gently rapped the door twice, and a few seconds later a young woman appeared at the door. She looked familiar in a way, which I found strange. I looked at her white hair with small streaks of red, and light grey-brown eyes and glasses. "Hello, I'm Todoroki Fuyumi. Welcome to our home. My brother Shoto will be here shortly, he went out for a bit." She said, leading us inside to a living area. I was mildly dumbfounded that we were at the Todoroki's, then I quickly snapped out of it when I saw Endeavor seated on a mat at a low table, waiting for us. I quietly panicked inside, remembering what I had screamed at him earlier. We sat down at the table and I kept my head down and my hands flat in my lap.
I heard the front door open and close, a brief conversation between Fuyumi and who I assume was Shoto, then the sound of footsteps hurrying away. Soon after, Shoto came out in dress slacks and a white dress shirt. He didn't seem to notice the people waiting for him at the table, as he was looking down and straightening a red tie. I suddenly felt kinda self conscious, as Endeavor and my brother were wearing suits, Todoroki wearing nice dress clothes, and I was just wearing casual clothes. I fiddled with the ends of my sleeves and kept my gaze averted to my lap.

I hurried home after the hospital visit, and once I got home I was greeted by Fuyumi. "Did I make it?" I asked. "No, they arrived not too long ago. How did it go?" "It went well. It was nice to finally talk to her. I'll tell you more later." I quickly responded, then hurried off to my room. I heard two voices in the living room, one of them belonging to my father, then another I vaguely recognized. I pulled on slacks and a dress shirt, and grabbed my red tie on the way out. I had all the stuff out, as father has these stupid business dinners all the time. I straightened and tightened my tie as I walked into the room. I finally looked up and saw Hawks and... (Y/n)?! Then I remembered that Hawks was her older brother, then I sat down at my father's side. I tried to catch (Y/n)'s eye every so often, but she was fixated on her sleeves, which over a few minutes she had pulled and frayed. Fuyumi came from the kitchen with four small skillets of sukiyaki (image below) "Enjoy, everyone." She said, then hurried back to the kitchen.
Over dinner, my father and Hawks discussed their ranks and fan bases. The droned on for a bit, Hawks cracked a few jokes, then finally (Y/n) made a remark "Is fame all you care about too, Endeavor? Is all you want to be the best?" "Well of course I should be the best. That should be something everyone strives for. Although, from what I saw, it certainly won't be you. Especially after today. My Shoto though. He was created to win, to be the best." "Wow. You're awful. Your child isn't just a tool for winning. You really are trash. You deserved what that person yelled at you today." She said, voice stern and steady. I sat there dumbfounded, when all of the sudden Hawks stood up, grabbed (Y/n) by the arm, then said "Do you mind if we step into the next room for a second, sir?" My father nodded, giving permission, his frown creased in anger. Hawks gave (Y/n)'s arm a rough yank, pulling her to her feet and dragging her down the hall.
I heard the door of the next room slam and the Takami siblings start to yell at each other, slightly muffled by the walls. "I can't believe you! What the hell was that?! That is number 2 hero Endeavor, and you can't even try to show some respect? You just always have to say what you think?! Here's the thing, little shit: No one cares about what you think, no one cares about you or anything you do." "I know, Keigo. You tell me everyday; or at least the days you actually come home. Cause you're just soo great, aren't you? What would your precious 'fans' think if they saw you now, dragging around and yelling at someone for just speaking their mind?" There was a brief silence, then a small, worried voice said "Keigo, no- you wouldn't-" then the muffled thud.
I heard the door slide open, then Hawks reappeared with (Y/n) in tow. "So sorry, Endeavor. Aren't we, (Y/n)?" "Yes, brother. My deepest apologies, Mister Endeavor." She said, her steady voice wavering ever so slightly, and she bowed in respect. Her hair fell away from it's usual place, and along with her scar, a red mark was visible on her cheek. She and her brother took their seats once more. Her face was blank, and once more she stared down at the floor and her sleeves. I sat and heard the sound of a hit landing reverberate through my mind. Memories of my father's training methods, and of what he would do whenever my mother tried to protect me. I looked across the table at her again.
I slowly moved my foot out from underneath me and gently nudged her to get her to look up. "Hey." I mouthed. I gave her a small smile, and looked into her golden, yellow eye and what was visible of the pastel yellow one. She gave me a hint of a smile, but it clearly took effort. After dinner, just as the Takamis were heading towards the door, I got up and caught (Y/n)'s hand. "Uh, hey. I was wondering if you would want to walk with me for a little while before you leave." "Oh. Sure, sounds nice." She replied, giving a small smile. Hawks walked away and we watched him take off. We headed to a nearby park, and sat down on a bench that was illuminated by the soft glow of a faded street lamp. "Are you alright?" I asked. "Yeah. I'm fine." she replied half-heartedly. I turned to her and said "Are you sure? You don't sound like you're okay." She looked kinda surprised and looked up at me. "Hmm. No, I guess I'm not. I'd never in a million years guess that my brother would hit me. Sure, he's not always the nicest. In fact he can be quite awful, but I didn't think he'd go that far. Even when we were little and we would fight, not even then... ESPECIALLY not then would he ever lay a hand on me. I know I'm not always the most pleasant, but I didn't think I was that bad." She explained. "He didn't have any good reason to do that. No one has any good reason to hurt their family." I said, my voice trembling slightly with anger. "Hey... I told you why I was upset... Are you ok? You don't have to tell me, but you listened to me. I want to do the same for you." "Really?" I was taken aback. I didn't really get to tell anyone about what I've been through. And I feel like I can trust her. I explained everything about my childhood and my mother, including why I was late to dinner.
"Wow. I'm so glad you got to see her. Too bad you had that stupid dinner, I wish you could've spent more time with her. Sorry." "Hey, don't apologize. It's not your fault, it's Hawks and my fathers." "I know. I just feel like everything is my fault sometimes. Like if I hadn't been here it would've been better. For everyone." She replied, looking down at the frayed ends of her sleeves. I opened one arm towards her, and she looked up at me for a second in surprise, then cautiously and gingerly leaned against my side. I wrapped my arm around her held her close. I felt her shake a little and she wiped away a tear and rested her head on my shoulder. "It wouldn't have been better to me without you. Thank you." I said quietly. And we both sat silently looking out around the park at night.
