She surprises you at work (requested)

You just landed a new job at a restaurant. So far it's been so much fun! You've made new friends and the customers were so friendly. You were on cashier duty today which was new for you but very exciting.

While you were ringing up a customer's bill Taylor had managed to sneak in line, the customers behind her happy to let her sneak in line in front of them.

She's been gone on tour for a couple of months now so she wanted to come to surprise you today! She was so proud of you and she was happy to see you smiling and giggling along with the customers.

You handed them their receipt and looked down at the drawer where you had to slip all the store copies of the receipts, replacing the bags that you had just handed out minutes ago with a to-go order and yelling out 'next' only to look up a few seconds later to be greeted with your girlfriend.

"Hey, baby!" She said while smiling at you and you squealed, leaning over to hug her and yelling for another worker to come and help you as you run out of the register area and into her arms.

"What are you doing here?"

Taylor hugged you tightly and kissed your lips softly. "Well, I wanted to surprise you and ask you if maybe you'd like to grab some lunch?"

You giggled and rubbed your nose against hers, looking around for a minute before looking back at her.

"Wel,l I guess we are in a pretty convenient place to have lunch, huh?" Taylor laughed and kissed your cheek before pulling you in for another hug.

"Damn right we are. I'm so proud of you baby. I love seeing you succeeding and seeing you so happy with all your coworkers and customers. It just makes me so happy to see you happy."

You smiled at her and kissed her nose before grabbing her hand and leading her to a table. You didn't need menus, since you worked there you had pretty much memorized them and knew them by heart.

You felt so happy and grateful that Taylor had come to surprise you at work, along with some pretty great news that she was gonna be home with you for a couple of weeks before she had to go back on tour.

She listened to every word you told her about how much fun this job was, her hands wrapped in yours as you waited for the food you ordered. She was in no rush though.

She'd stay there and listen to you talk for as long as you wanted.
