Aimee's POV Me and Shawn were up since 6. Shawn came home around 5 from the party. Adalynn was still asleep. I couldn't sleep well last night because I couldn't stop thinking about today. Shawn called out of work today to bring Adalynn to daycare with me.
"Are we doing the right thing?" I asked, taking a sip of my orange juice. "Yes baby. It gives you a break so you could do things on your own time and it also helps her like learn things. You know what I mean? Like as she grows up she'll do and learn more and more things each day" he answered and I nod just shrugging.
"What time are we bringing her in?" I asked, finishing my orange juice. "I was thinking around 9 because if we take her as soon as it open that'll be too early cause it would be a long day" he answered and I nod. I got up and put my cup in the sink.
We hear Adalynn start fussing. "You could go get her and I'll go pack her diaper bag" he says and I smiled nodding. "Dont forget to pack like 3 extra outfits just in case she spits up or something" I say and he nods.
I walked into my room where Adalynn was sleeping and picked her up. I pulled my shirt down and started to feed her. "The bottles are in the refrigerator, right?" Shawn asked and I nod. "Okay. I picked out a outfit for Adalynn! It's on the changing table!" He says, walking out.
I walk into the nursery after she finished eating and laid her on the changing table. I change her diaper and put the outfit on.

It was a black tank top that said "mommy is my bestie" with floral pants. I pick her up and walked into the living room. I placed her on the swing and turned it on.
I looked at Shawn who had the diaper bag on the table. "Everything is in here including her blanket, swaddle, and wubbanub" he says and I smiled nodding.

"Did you put sunscreen in the bag? I'm pretty sure they said pack sunscreen to leave there cause they might take the kids outside!" I asked. "No I didnt" Shawn says, walking into the nursery to pack it.
Adalynn fell asleep which is good so they dont have to worry about putting her down for a morning nap. I watched Adalynn as she slept. My phone started ringing which startled me. It was my mom so I obviously answered.
"Hey mom. What's up!" I asked. "Just checking up on you. What you up to?!" She asked. "Getting Adalynn ready for daycare" I say. "Oh. Oil call you back around 10?" She says, making it out like a question.
"Sure!" I say hanging up. I slip my phone into my back pocket and just sat there. Shawn brings the car seat out and placed it next to the diaper bag.

"Did you hear about tomorrow?" I asked, just starting a conversation. "About the storm?" He asked and I nodded. "People are saying its suppose to be really bad. Like they're even saying we might lose power for a few days" I say and his eyes widened.
"Damn. Okay so later today I'll run out to the store and buys snacks and everything just in case we do" he says and I nod. By the time Adalynn got up from her morning nap it was around 8:25.
"We should get going" I say, sighing. "Can you get Adalynn in her carseat" I asked and he nods. I had to pee really bad. I ran into the bathroom and did my business.
AT THE DAYCARE Shawn pulls into the parking lot and I take a deep breath. I breathe in and then out. Shawn grabs my hand reassuring that everything will be okay. I smiled nodding and getting out of the car.
While Shawn grabs the carseat I grab the diaper bag. He grabs my hand and we walked into the daycare. "Hey!! You must be Aimee and Shawn! I'm Lori! The owner and the director!" A lady smiled.
"And you must be Adalynn" she smiled, talking in a baby voice. "Omg shes so beautiful!" She exclaimed and I smiled saying thank you.
"I'm being dead serious. Yeah! I always tell everyone about how beautiful their child is but yours is different. Like shes really beautiful. Like her name is perfect. And that blonde hair and blue eyes! Shes going to be beautiful when she gets older!" Lori says and I couldn't help but smile.
I already feel safe leaving Adalynn here. "Okay so when you drop and pick Adalynn up all you have to do is sign here on the paper the time you're picking her up and dropping her off" lori says and Shawn did that.
"Okay. So after you do that all you do is just walk in and go into the baby room. But since it's your first day here I'll show you where to go!" She says and we followed her to the baby room. "Hey!!" One of teacher says with no emotion. I just shrugged it off and smiled.
"So that's Alyssa and that's Sierra!" Lori says and I smiled. "And this is little Adalynn!" Lori says, as shawn placed the carseat down. "Everything should be in her diaper bag. Her bottles are in there and I am breastfeeding so just put it in the refrigerator and her wubbanub and swaddled and blankets are in there. We also packed extra clothes just in case!" Shawn says and they all nod.
"Now if you have any questions or just want to check up on Adalynn you could just call me" lori says. I watch as Alyssa takes Adalynn out and I nod.
"Okay ready?" Lori says and I take a deep breath and we slowly left. I was almost in tears. "Remember call if you ever wanna check up on Adalynn!" She says and I smiled nodding as we left.
AT HOME We got home like 20 minutes ago and I finally decided to call my mom back. I was crying when we left the daycare just cause I already missed Adalynn.
"Hey! How'd it go with Adalynn?!" She asked, once she answered.
"Okay I guess. I cried though" I say, trying not to think about it.
"That's normal" she says and I just sighed. "Anyways, we were planning a trip to Hawaii next month but wanted to make sure you guys were okay with that and would love for you to join us!" She asked and I smiled.
"I'm pretty sure itll be okay with Shawn and it's okay with me. He'll just have to take days off" I answered. "Okay just let me know asap. I've got to go bye!" And with that she hung up. Ummmm...okay then.
I was just sitting on the couch and Shawn was in the kitchen. "Babe, my mom wants to know if we want to go to hawaii with them next month!" I say.
"Of course. That sounds like fun!" He says. I just sat on the couch scrolling through my Instagram. My eyes widened and I whispered "what the hell" to myself.
I guess Shawn heard me and came walking in. "What's wrong baby" he asked. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!" I yelled, showing him my phone. -------------------------------------------------------------- DUN DUN DUN!!
