Aimee's POV
It was about 8:50 in the morning. We were all ready to take Adalynn to daycare. "You're driving!" Shawn says, putting the car seat in the car. "What?" I asked, wide eyed. I have a fear of driving with Adalynn or any babies in the car.
I don't know why. I just do. It's probably my biggest fear so that's why I usually have Shawn or Aunt Tori drive. "You have to get over your fear Baby" he says, closing the car door. "Please no. I'll do it a different day!" I begged. I was on the verge of tears just thinking about it.
"You're doing it today. I'll be here the entire time. Nothing is going to happen. Besides, not like it's a long drive. It's literally around the block. That's a good distance to start. You have nothing to be worried about" he says, and I take a deep breath nodding. We jumped into the car with me in the drivers seat and Shawn in the passenger of course.
The keys were already in and I just had to put the car in drive and start driving. I take a deep breath slowly starting to drive. I was literally going 5 mph. "Babe, the speed limit is 40" Shawn laughed and I started to speed up.
At the daycare
I put the car into park and finally let out a big breath I've been holding in. "Did you really hold your breath the entire time?" Shawn laughed and I looked at him.
"Yeah. I was so scared I couldn't breathe!" I answered and he just laughed. "I'll take her in. I have to talk to Christine about something" I say, jumping out of the car.
I grabbed the diaper bag and put it on my back. I then grabbed the car seat. I closed the door and walked up to the daycare. I placed my finger in the sensor and it said thank you. I opened the door and walked in. "Hey Aimee!" Christine smiled. I looked to the first classroom you walk passed to see Christine talking to one of the employees.
"Hey!" I smiled, going up to the computer to sign Adalynn in. Christine opens the door walking out of the classroom. "Hey baby girl!" She exclaimed and I hear Adalynn try talking. I smiled as I clicked finished on the computer and turned around to see Christine kneeling down taking Adalynn out of the car seat.
"Wow. You can't wait till I take her to the classroom!" I laughed and she gave me a goofy smile. "The answer is yes!" I simply said and she looked at me confused. "What?" She asked.
"The job offer you gave me when Rosie leaves as assistant director. I wanna take it!" I answered excitedly. "OMG YAYA!" She yelled, hugging me and I laughed. "Your mommy is gonna work with us!" She smiled, talking to Adalynn. I couldn't help but smile.
"I have a question!" I asked, picking up the car seat. "What's up?" She asked, starting to walk off with me next to her. "So my cousin is up here visiting her mom. My aunt was wondering if they could possibly pick Adalynn up from daycare today. She's actually the the lady that came with me like the last time I picked her up!" I asked, walking to the classroom.
"Of course. Just tell them to bring their driver's license!" She says, and I nod walking into the classroom. "Hey!!!!!" Jill says excitedly and I smiled. "I could see that Christine couldn't wait to see Adalynn!" Marissa laughed, taking the empty car seat from me and putting it into the back closet. "You got that right" I chuckled, handing Jill the diaper bag.
"Anyways, I am no longer breastfeeding because I guess I'm not producing enough or whatever. So she's on formula now. She gets 4 ounces every 2 hours still. If she's still fussing or seems to be hungry still you could give her 2 more ounces. The bottles are in the bag and is already filled with water. There's a container of the formula in her bag that could stay here cause we have some at home. Most of the time she'll take the bottle cold. However, if she's still fussing when you try feeding her just warm it up a little" I say, and Jill nods. "Sounds good to us" she smiled, hanging up the diaper bag on the hook with Adalynn's name on it.
I walk over to Adalynn who Christine was playing around with. I smiled and remembered something. "Oh and Adalynn's aunt and cousin are going to be picking her up today! They might pick her up earlier then usual!" I say and she nods. I say bye to everyone and walked out.
At home
We walked into our apartment to see Aunt Tori and Meredith just chilling on the couch. They spent the night last night just so Meredith could spent time with Adalynn and so we could get to know each other. We had a blast. Anyways, they decided to stay and get ready for the day while we took Adalynn to daycare.
"So are you guys still planning on picking Adalynn up?" I asked and they both nodded excitedly making me chuckle. "Okay. I told them so they're expecting you. They said to bring your drivers license though so they could make a copy so you could pick her up" I say and they nod.
"Before you guys leave for the day I have to ask Aunt Tori something. It's kind of important to me!" I smiled. I think I kinda scared Aunt tori because she gave me a 'what did you do' look which made me laugh. Shawn gave me that look too because he has no idea what I was asking. "Whaaaat" she asked, terrified.
"It's nothing bad. I promise" I laughed. "Well first of all I wanted to thank you for everything you've done for us and all the help you've given us with Adalynn. If we never met you when we moved here we'd probably be back in Cali cause we wouldn't of been to able to handle this on our own" I added and Shawn nods agreeing with me.
"Anyways, I've been debating whether or not I should ask you but I decided that this is what I want to do. Aunt Tori, will you be my maid of honor for my wedding!" I asked and her eyes widened. "YESSSS!" She yelled, hugging me. He was crying happy tears. Shawn smiled winking at me.
"Omg. I can't believe you asked me" she smiled hugging me even tighter if that was even possible. "You're my favorite aunt in the world and I want you to be standing next to me on my wedding day" I smiled. We spent about 5 minutes with her crying knowing the fact that I want her by me on my wedding day. When they left, we just spent the rest of the day relaxing.
