Pregnant At 17

VACATION READY

A FEW DAYS LATER
Aimees POV
I woke up to my alarm going off. I slowly open my eyes as it got adjusted to the light. I rubbed my eyes to wake up a little. I looked at my phone to see it was 2:01 am.

I sighed sitting up and getting out of bed grabbing my phone off the charger. I walked out of the room and into the kitchen. I peaked into the living room to see Aunt Tori sleeping on the couch. We leave for Colorado early this morning. She decided to sleep over so we didn't have to worry about picking her up.  We would just have to meet everyone at the airport.

It's Friday today. This week flew by. Shawn worked everyday. Adalynn went to daycare and I cleaned the house. I turned the coffee pot on and pulled up my dads contact. He said he was waking up at 1:45 to finish packing so I figured I'd call him to ask him a few questions I had.

I called him and it took about 5 rings till he finally answered. "Hey honey. Sorry it took long to answer the phone. I was outside packing the car and my phone was inside" he says and I sat at the counter placing my hand on my cheek to hold up my face. I was tired.

"That's okay! I just woke up! Everyone is still sleeping. I was just calling to ask if we should bring the playpen and he swing and stuff. I didn't know if we're allowed to bring it on the plane" I said and my coffee maker went off.

"No. Don't worry about it. We still have the playpen and swing and everything from when Madilyn was a baby. We even have a stroller if we go somewhere too" he answered and I smiled. "Okay! So I just have to bring diapers clothes and the normal essentials!" I say. "Yep! I'm gonna go wake up the kids now! Text me when you leave!" He says. "Okay. We might leave a bit earlier" I say.

"That's totally fine!" He says. "Okay! See you at the airport!" He says hanging up. I put my phone down on the counter and made myself a cup of coffee. I sat down on the bar stool and dipped my coffee. Aunt Tori walks and I smiled.

"There's coffee in the coffee pot if you want some!" I say and she smiled making herself a cup of coffee. "How long you've been up?" She asked, mixing her coffee. "For like about 20 minutes!" I say, looking at my phone and she nods.

"All we have to pack is Adalynn's playpen and stuff like the right?" She asked and I shook my head. "No. They have old stuff down there from when Madilyn was a baby" I say and she nods. "If you want you could go hop in the shower. I'm just gonna wake up Shawn and just get ready" I say and she nods walking to the guest bathroom.

I placed my coffee on the counter and walked into our room. I sit on the bed and gently shook Shawn away. "I'm awake" he says in his morning voice. "Oh sorry. I didn't know" I say and he smiled looking at me.

"I'm gonna start getting Adalynn ready. There's coffee in the coffee pot if you want any. Mine is sitting on the counter. You could finish mine" I say and he nods.

I walked into the nursery where Adalynn was waking up. I turned the light switch and she squinted to make her eyes adjust to the light. "Hey baby girl!" I smiled, reaching down and she smiled. I lift her up and felt something wet and squishy.

"Oh crap" I whispered, holding her out so her back was facing mine. She had a major blow out. There was poop all over her back and her pjs. "Great. You had a blow out for mommy. Didn't you?" I say, laying her on the changing table.

"Hey. You need help with anything?" Aunt Tori asked, walking into the nursery and I sighed. "No. She just had a major blowout so now I have to give her a bath" I answered, taking her footie pajamas off. "Want me to get her dressed while you get ready?" She suggested and I looked at her.

"You sure?" I asked and she nods. "Yeah. I'm done getting ready" she says and I smiled. "Thank you so much! Her sleep and play outfit is right there and her bath stuff is in the closet. If you need help just shout for Shawn or me" I say and she nods. After we all finished getting ready we all head to the airport and met our families there.
