THE WEDDING: PART 1

A FEW MONTHS LATER

I woke up to my alarm going off. I smiled and hopped out of bed excitedly!! I looked at the time to see it was 4 in the morning. I turned my phone off and look over to see Karen's (Shawns mom) awake just looking in her journal.

Today's the day. The big day. The day I finally get to marry my best friend.

Am I dreaming?

Is this real.

Am I really marrying my best friend.

I still couldn't believe it.

Anyways, we were in a hotel. We decided to have the wedding in Hawaii and obviously on the beach. We always loved Hawaii and the beach so we thought it would be perfect.

Anyways, Shawn wasn't in our hotel cause it's bad luck if the groom sees the bride before the wedding ceremony. So therefore, he's in a different hotel room with the guys. He's with my dad, his dad Manuel, Sebastian, his grooms men which are Jeremy and Jaxon. Then his best man which is his best friend, Zach.

I can't wait to see him. He's not only Shawns best friend but he's mine as well. And not gonna lie we used to date back in like middle/high school. Shawn knows but its all good. We're all friends.

Anyways they're in their hotels and I'm in my hotel with Shawns mom Karen, Madilyn, Adalynn, Aunt Tori, my bridesmaid Aaliyah and Elena, and my maid of honor Amelia.

And we obviously invited all of our family and friends and I invited everyone that I work with as well. They're all in a different hotel though. Oh and the coronavirus ended a few weeks as well. We've been back to work and everything finally opened.

"Hey" I smiled, sitting next to Karen on the couch. "Hey bride!!" She smiled, putting her journal book away and I smiled. "Is it normal to feel like I'm dreaming?" I smiled, laying back thinking about how amazing this day is going to be.

"Trust me. It's totally normal. That's excitement. You're marrying the love of your life" she smiled. "I still can't believe it!" I smiled. "I know. And I can't wait to officially have a daughter in law" she says and I smiled even more.

"I love you so much. Thanks for everything you've done for us" I say and she smiles. "If you want, you could take a shower. The hair and makeup lady is gonna be here around 7 or possibly earlier!" She says and I smiled looking at Adalynn who was waking up in her playpen.

"Okay. I'll go put Adalynn back to sleep and then I'll take a shower!" I say, about to get up. "No!!! It's your day! We'll take care of Adalynn and you just do what you gotta do!" She says and I smiled.

"Thank you!" I say, walking into the bathroom. I turned the shower on and putting it on the temperature that I like. I grabbed a towel and put it next to the shower. I stripped down to nothing and hopped in the shower. I decided to take longer just to relax and enjoy the peace of quiet. So I was in there for about an hour.

I obviously did the usual. I shaved of course, washed my hair, and my body. Then I just stood there letting the water hit me as I just kept thinking about how perfect today is.

I still can't believe it's happening.

It feels like a dream.

I honestly couldn't stop smiling knowing that I'm gonna be marrying my best friend in a few hours.

After about an hour of just standing in the shower and just thinking about our future I finally got out. I obviously dried myself and wrapped my towel around me. I looked at myself in the mirror and just smiled.

I grabbed my hair brush and brushed my hair. I then just put my long hair in a messy bun so it's out of my face. I wasn't gonna get dressed until after I get my make up and hair done so I just grabbed my bath rope that was hanging on the back of the door.
