GETTING READY FOR VACAY

Aimee's POV
I woke up at 4:30 in the morning to Adalynn crying loudly. We were planning on waking up at five anyways so I just woke up at Shawn. It's been about a few weeks since everything went down with Selena and me and Shawn are doing pretty good. We haven't seen Jack lately. We've just been focused on ourselves and our family.

My mom planned a trip to Hawaii for a week and we leave tonight I believe! Me and Shawn still has to pack up everything and do some shopping so I figured we could take Adalynn to the daycare when it opens at 6:30 and we could get things done around the house. Oh and when I told Lori about the bruise I noticed on Adalynn's stomach, the teachers said that she accidentally clipped the clip on her skin while trying to buckle Adalynn into the little bouncer they have there.

Anyways, I reach over to the bed crib she still sleeps in and start feeding her. We figured we would start having her sleep in the nursery when we get home from vacation. I smiled, gently punching Shawn to wake him up. "I'm awake" he groaned in his sexy morning voice that I love to wake up to.

I grabbed my phone off the charger and called Aunt Tori. "Hey Aimee!" She says happily and I laughed. "I'm guessing I didn't wake you up" I giggled and she chuckled. "Nope! I woke up at 3:30! I'm packing right now!" She exclaimed. You're probably wondering, 'wow! Your mom actually invited her!?'

Well, no she didn't. I did. It's a family vacation and I consider Aunt Tori family. My mom may not, but I do and I want to enjoy a vacation with her too and no. My mom doesn't know I invited her. "Okay! I was calling to make sure you were still going with us! Are we driving together to the airport?" I asked, switching Adalynn to my other boob so she could finish eating.

"Yeah! If you want, I could meet you at your apartment around 3pm!" She suggested. "Sure! We're planning on picking Adalynn up from daycare earlier. Probably around 1:30! And we were planning on leaving the house at 4! The flight isn't until 9 but we like to be early just in case and it's an hour away!" I say.

"Okay! Yay! I'm so excited!!" She says, excitedly. "Me too!! Okay! I have to go! I'm taking Adalynn to daycare earlier today so we could pack and do some shopping cause she already needs bigger diapers!" I laughed. "Love you!" I say  and with that I hang up.

Shawn smiled at me and kissed my forehead as he got out of bed. "I'm going to hop in the shower!" He says, taking his shirt off. He doesn't normally wear a shirt to bed but it got really cold in our apartment for some reason.

He walked into the bathroom and I smiled looking at Adalynn who was just about done eating. I can't help but smile remembering a picture I posted of me breastfeeding and I got so much hate. I take another picture of Adalynn eating and posted it on instagram with the caption, "this is reality! Breastfeeding is such a powerful bond to have with your newborn babies. Yes, it is very painful at first and it's stressful  but I am so lucky to have this bond with my babygirl. Not everyone are able to breastfeed weather is cause they aren't producing enough milk or if they just can't in general! I let the hate get to me! I was crying and just couldn't stop thinking about it, but then I realized, what you say doesn't matter. At least not to me. I've been told by plenty of people from friends to family or even doctors that I'm the best mom a baby could ever have. No matter how stressful it can be, I'm sticking by my baby's side and I haven't left. And I believe them. Whenever I look at Adalynn all I could think is, 'how did I get so lucky'. Being a mom is so rewarding and I can't ask for anything better then being Adalynn's mom and having a bond with my beautiful daughter. #breastfeeding #dontletthehategettoyou" I smiled and clicked post.

I put my phone down and got up as Adalynn finished eating. I pulled my shirt down and walked into the living room. I placed Adalynn on the bouncer and buckled her in.
