Aimee's POV
"I have cancer" my mom answered and I was just shocked. I did not know how to react or even handle this. I looked over at Shawn with teary eyes and he wrapped his arm around my waist while he held Adalynn with his free hand.

"How long have you known?" He asked. I tried talking but couldn't get any words out of my mouth. I was just shocked and upset and scared. I looked at both of my parents and they were both hesitant to answer that question.

"We found out a few weeks after you told us you were pregnant" my dad answered. "WHAT?! SO YOU'VE KNOWN THIS ENTIRE PREGNANCY! THATS 9 FUCKING MONTHS!! YOU HAVEN'T TOLD US?!" I yelled bursting into tears.

"Aimee, you were already under enough stress and you were already at risk of losing the baby. Can you imagine what it would've been like if we did tell you? You could've lost Adalynn for good" she says and I thought about it. She is right.

"Does everyone else know?" I asked and they nod. "Do you know if you're going to be able to...you know? Survive?" I asked. I didnt even want to ask this or even think about it. It was just too hard on me.

"Well, we dont 100 percent know yet. However, the doctors said theres a small chance that I'll survive so they're pretty much saying that I could die" she answered and I bursted into tears.

"Hey, but theres still hope baby. They did say I'm more likely going to die within 5 months when we first found out but I'm still here. So theres hope i could fight this and survive" she says and I gave her hug.

"I dont want to lose you" I cried. "I know. I'm trying so hard to fight this but if anything does happen to me just know that I'm in a better place and that I'll always be with you" she says and I smiled nodding.

I didnt want to think like that but I have to. After we all just sat and talked we eventually cheered up. Me and Shawn both walked into the living room and he laid Adalynn in the bouncer. "Are you okay baby?" He asked and I smiled nodding. All of my siblings were still upstairs either still sleeping or just getting up.

"Okay. I'm going to call the doctors for you and try making an appointment to get it checked out and then I'll run upstairs and grab the few boxes that we still have to open for Adalynn" shawn says.

"Okay. Want me to help?" I asked. They were pretty heavy so I felt bad for not helping. "No. You stay down here and keep an eye on Adalynn" he answered pulling out his phone.

I nod as he dialed the doctors number. He starts calling it and he starts talking. "Hello?" He says.

"Yeah. This is Shawn Mendes. I was just calling to make an appointment for my girlfriend who just had a baby. She's feeling a sharp pain by her private area every once and a while and wanted to get it checked out!" He says, explaining what happened.

"Okay" he says.

"Okay. Thank you!" He says, hanging up. I looked up at him, waiting for him to tell me what they said.

"Okay. So we couldn't get you in today but we have an appointment tomorrow morning. They said the they might know what's causing this pain but they want to check just in case" he says, placing his phone on the coffee table.

I nod as he runs upstairs into the nursery. Amelia walks into the living room still in her pjs and had a messy bun. I smiled sitting back on the couch. She bends down by the bouncer and starts talking to the baby. Adalynn starts giggling and I couldn't help but smile.

"You and Shawn make cute babies" she says, standing up and sitting next to me. "Aimee, are you still mad at me for dating Shawn?" She asked and I sighed.
