A BREAK IN?!

THREE WEEKS LATER
Aimee's POV
We got back from Cali late last night. We stayed for three weeks and had we had a good time together. We did have the funeral last week which was hard on everyone and that was probably the hardest day for all of us. They are still planning on moving down here but my dad said he'll call me when he knows when.

Today's Monday which means Adalynn is going to go back to daycare. I was going to keep her home but I figured I'll just sent her in cause I'm pretty sure that everyone misses her. Shawn is at work right now and Adalynn was all ready. She was dressed and in her car seat and her diaper bag is all packed. Shawn called Christine this morning to let her know we're coming back and Adalynn is going back today.

I smiled, grabbing the diaper bag and the car seat. I didn't bother getting dressed. I'm literally in sweats and my hair is in a messy bun. I grabbed my keys and with that we left.

At the daycare
I walked to the door of the daycare and put my finger in the sensor. Once it said thank you I opened the door and walked in. "HEY" Christine yelled, running to me giving me a huge hug and I chuckled.

I see Rosie walking out of the older toddler room. She looked at me and gave me a dirty look and then gave me a fake smile. "Can I talk to you?" Rosie asked Christine. "Yeah. Sure. Hold on" she says.

"Hey Aimee" Rosie says smiling and I just played nice with. "Hey" I say as she walked off into her office. "I'm sorry about calling you last minute. We were gonna sent her in today but decided to anyway!" I say and she smiled. "No problem. I have to go talk to Rosie. See you later!" She says walking off. I signed Adalynn in and walked into the back room.

"YAY! SHE'S BACK!" Jill yelled, excitedly ripping the car seat out of my hand. "Jeez girl" I laughed, setting the diaper bag on the table where Jill set the car seat to get Adalynn out.

"How are you guys?" Marissa asked, grabbing the diaper bag to hang up. "We're doing alright. My parents and siblings are gonna be moving up here. We don't know when but they're planning it. So now we're gonna be back together all the time" I answered.

"That's good" Jill says, holding Adalynn and I nod. "I have to get going. I'll see you later" I smiled, kissing Adalynn's head. I walked out of the room and heard someone whisper my name. I looked to see a lady I think by the name Alexa. "Alexa, right?" I asked walking into the room. It was the young toddlers. The room in the front where you see once you walk in and it was right by Rosie's office.

"Correct" she smiled. "What's up?" I asked, meaning that she called me into the room. "I think they're talking about you" she says, pointing to the wall that Rosie's office is against. "I heard your name numerous times. If you lean your ear against the wall you should be able to hear them" she says, leaning her ear against the wall. I do the same thing to see what they're talking about.

"THERE'S NO WAY SHE'S GOING TO BE THE DIRECTOR OR ANYTHING!" Rosie yelled. The door was closed so no one heard them. We could cause we're leaning our ears against the wall. "Rosie, Aimee is amazing and I'm sure she'll be amazing at her job. And she's the assistant director. I'm the main director" Christine told Rosie, calmly.

"I DON'T GIVE A FUCK!" Rosie yelled and mine and Alexa eyes widened. "It's not even your choice. You're leaving. You don't work here anymore so if I want to hire Aimee, I'LL HIRE HER!" Christine says and I sighed moving away. "Guess I might not have a job anymore" I say and Alexa turned around looking at me.

"Trust me. You still have a job. Christine won't give up. She won't stop until she gets what she wants. She really likes you and adores both you and Shawn so she definitely won't give up! And if Rosie still won't let her hire you then I'm gonna stand up to her to and make sure you have a job here" she smiled hugging me.

"Thank you" I smiled, pulling away. "No problem" she smiled. "If I hear anything else then I'll let you know" she added and I nod smiling. With that I left.

Back at home
Once I got home I crawled back into bed. I wasn't feeling that great. I felt dizzy, I have a headache, and felt like throwing up. Once I laid down my phone rings. It must be Shawn cause he normally calls me around this time because he's on his 15 minute break.

I looked at the caller ID and it was him. I answered the phone. "Hey babe!" He says happily. "Hey baby" I smiled, laying down.

"Woah. Are you feeling okay?" He asked concerned. He could tell when I'm not feeling good just by hearing my voice. I love him so much. He understands me more than anyone else does.

"Yeah. I'm just not feeling well. I have a major headache, I'm feeling very nauseous and I'm really dizzy" I answered.

"Did you take any medicine?" He asked. "No. I don't think we have any" I answered. "Okay. Lay down and try getting some rest. Go take a nap, okay babe?" He says and I smiled. "Okay" I say. "I love you" he says and I of course said it back and then hung up. I throw my phone on the side next to me and just fell asleep within minutes.

A few hours later
I woke up to a loud bang. I jumped up out of bed obviously thinking someone broke in because Shawn doesn't come home until 6 or 7 at night. I grabbed a stick we had in our room and tiptoes out of the room into the mini hallway.

I tiptoed out into the living room where the noise was coming from. "What the hell" I say, throwing the stick down. It was Shawn and Adalynn was in the swing sleeping. He turns around and bursted out laughing. "I thought someone fucking broke in!" I say, punching him.

"What was that loud bang" I asked. "I bumped into the side table and knocked it over" he answered continuing to laugh. "Why are you here? It's only 1" I asked, looking at the clock we have hanging up on the wall.

"You weren't feeling well so I decided to come home early, pick up Adalynn and make sure you were okay" he smiled, hugging me. "Yeah. I'm still feeling sick" I answered sitting on the couch.

"I bought you medicine" he says, handing me a bag from Rite-Aid and I smiled opening. I took some medicine he got and he sat next to me. "Oh. And Christine said she needs to talk to you next time you see her" he says and I sighed. "Guess I'm losing my job opportunity" I say and Shawn looks at me weird. "Why do you say that?" He asked and I explained to him what happened.

"I'm sure you're fine and that you still have a job. I mean when I talked to Christine she didn't seem upset or anything" he says and I just shrugged. "When did you guys get home?" I asked, laying my head on his shoulder watching Adalynn sleep.

"Around 12:30. I decided to pick up Adalynn just because" he says and I smiled nodding. "I know you weren't feeling well so I wanted to come home and take care of you" he says, kissing my forehead. I couldn't help but smile. My phone rings and I look at the caller ID to see it was my dad.

"Hey Daddy!" I smiled, still laying my head on Shawn's shoulders. "What's up sweetie" he asked. "Nothing much. Just relaxing. I'm not feeling that great" I say. "Oh okay! I'll call you later or tomorrow! Get some rest!" He says, hanging up before I could say anything. "Okay" I just mumbled to my self placing my phone on the coffee table. With that I just passed out again for the rest of the afternoon.
