BABY'S FIRST ER VISIT

THE NEXT DAY
Aimee's POV
Yesterday was okay. Me and Shawn started to get along better but I'm still planning on moving and I told him that. I just cant be fighting with him all the time. I feel like ever since we moved, all we do is fight and argue and I don't want that.

Anyways, it was about 9:30 in the morning and we're all dressed and ready for the day. Adalynn was already dressed and fed as well.

Today all we're doing is pretty much picking up our families at the airport. It's pouring so we cant really go swimming or anything unless they have a indoor pool at their hotel they're staying at. They're staying in the hotel that's pretty much across from us so we dont have to drive far or anything.

I was sitting in the living room watching Adalynn play on her playmat while Shawn was doing his hair or whatever in our room. Adalynn loves playing on the mat.

"So are you two going to come with me to pick up everyone or are you staying home?" Shawn asked, walking into the living room. "Babe, how is everyone going to fit in the car? Especially when we go somewhere" I asked, looking at him.

"If I'm not mistaken, they're going to be renting a car or van. I just have to go pick them up so they could follow me home. For some reason our address isnt showing up on the GPS" he answered and I gave him a confused look. He just shrugged and I chuckled.

"So I have to leave soon because they land at 11" he says and I nod looking at Adalynn. I think we're going to stay home so Adalynn could take her morning nap and be happy and playful when they get here" I say and he nods.

"Okay well I'm heading out now then. I might be stopping at McDonald's. Do you want anything?" He asked and I smiled. "No thank you" i say, planting a kiss on his lips.

He smiled grabbing his keys and walking out. I smiled standing up and picked Adalynn up who was getting tired. "Are you sleepy" I say, in a baby tone and she smiled. I walk into the nursery and laid her in her crib. This is actually the first time she'll be sleeping in here. Or at least napping in here.

I grabbed her little stuffed animal with her pacifier and slipped it in her mouth and she starts falling fast asleep. I smiled, walking out leaving the door cracked opened so I could hear her if she wakes up. We havent set the monitor up yet cause she hasn't slept in here but I'll have Shawn do that later.

I walk into the kitchen and just tried straightening up a little. I washed the dishes and cleaned the counter. I walked into the living room and just cleaned up Adalynn's toys.

I walked into Adalynn's room and quietly grabbed her hamper filled with her dirty clothes. I carry the hamper into the washing machine room and threw it in. I put the detergent and softener in and started the wash.

After about an hour I heard Adalynn start crying. I walked into the nursery and picked her up from the crib. "Shhh baby" I say, laying her on the changing table so I could change her dirty diaper.

While I was changing her diaper I noticed a big rash. "Shit!" I whispered. She starts shaking really bad and crying. She started to turn red and she felt really hot. I quickly grabbed my phone to call Jack while I dressed Adalynn.

"Hey Aimee!!" He says, happily and I obviously panicked.  "Jack?! Will you be able to drive me to the ER?" I say, picking up Adalynn. "Yeah! Is everything okay?" He asked concerned.

"I'll explain on the way. Meet me in the lobby" I say, hanging up. I put Adalynn in her carseat and buckled her in. I give her the pacifier with the stuffed animal but she refused it and just kept screaming. I left the pacifier in her carseat and I picked the car seat up and ran into the living room grabbing her diaper bag. "Siri call Shawn" I say, talking to my phone running out of the apartment locking the door.
