HEY STRANGER

Aimee's POV
It was about 8 in the morning. I was just in my pajamas still and Adalynn was just playing on the play mat. I was on the couch with Sebastian laying down with his head on my lap. He had a rough night last night. He woke up screaming at like 2 in the morning and couldn't fall asleep so I took him in the living room and he passed back out after about an hour. I didn't feel like waking him up bringing him to the room again so I just sat here. I smiled looking at Shawn who was making his lunch. He unfortunately had to go to work.

"You sure you'll be okay here by yourself? You had a rough night with Sebastian and you've been up most of the night" He asked and I nod smiling. "I'll be fine" I say and he smiled. "Call me if you need anything" he says kissing me and with that he left. I smiled turning the vampire diaries on. I didn't have to worry about feeding Adalynn cause she already ate.

I smiled laying back and playing with Sebastian hair. My phone goes off and I quickly answered it. It was my aunt. "Hey stranger" I laughed putting my show on pause. "Hey. You doing anything?" She asked.

"Nope. My work had to close so I'm staying home with the kids. Shawn had to go to work so I'm by myself!" I answered. "Can I come over??" She asked and I smiled. "Sure. Adalynn misses you!" I smiled.

"YAYA! See you in 10" she says and I laughed. "Okay. When you get here just walk in" I say hanging up and Adalynn looked at me. "Auntie Tori is coming" I say in a baby tone and she smiles kicking her feet excitedly. She's 6 months and she's been trying to crawl for like the past week now. I can't believe how fast she's going.

I smiled putting my show back on. I smiled and watched my show. I can't remember the last time I was able to just sit down and watch tv. I guess it's true when people say you'll never have time to do anything with a baby but hey. I'm not complaining. I love my baby Adalynn.

After about 15 minutes I hear my apartment door open. "It's about time" I laughed. "Sorry" she says, throwing her keys on the coffee table. She looked down and saw Sebastian.

"Okay. When you said kids on the phone I thought you meant your siblings and Adalynn" she laughed, sitting in the recliner after she grabbed Adalynn and I smiled pausing my show again. I explained to her everything that happened with Sebastian and how I found him.

"Oh my god. That poor boy" she frowns and I nod. "And he had a rough night last night. He had bad dream about his mom abusing him again" I say and she shook her head.

"No boy should experience that. No. No one should experience that" she says and I nod. "You're lucky you have the mommy that you have" she says talking to Adalynn and I smiled. "I'm scared" I say.

"For what?" She asked looking back at me and I looked at Sebastian. "That when they take him away that I won't be able to let him go cause I already love him. He's literally the politest kid you'll ever meet" I say looking back at her and she smiled.

"So adopt him!" She says and I chuckled. "I don't think my father would like that" I say. "Who gives a fuck what he thinks" she says and my eyes widened. "Aimee, it's your life!! You're a mom and you're 18 almost 19 years old! If you want to adopt him you should!! You choose what you want to do with your life!" She says and I smiled.

"I mean it would have to be up with Shawn too. I'll have to talk to him" I say and she nods. "And I'll support you guys all the way" she says making me smile. "He's adorable" she says, looking at Seb. "I know right?" I smiled playing with his hair still.

I looked at Adalynn who was being held by Aunt Tori and couldn't help but smile. "It feels like it's been so long since we last saw each other" I say and she nods getting up. "Yeah" she sighed, putting Adalynn back on the play mat. It was a sad sigh.

She sits back down and looked at me. "Me and Mark have been fighting lately. It's like all we do is fight and fight now" she says and I frowned. "You think you're gonna file for a divorce?" I asked and she just shrugged.

"Honestly? I don't know. Luckily it didn't get that far yet. Hopefully it won't but I feel like we might" she says and I grabbed her hands. "I'm here for you" I say and she smiled.

"Maybe you two just need a break. Why don't you stay a few nights? And then maybe that will help you decide if you want to stay with him or leave" I suggested and she kinda smiled.

"Are you sure?" She asked and I smiled nodding. "Yeah! I'll have to talk to Shawn about it but I'm sure he'll be cool with it" I answered and she smiled.

I looked down to see Sebastian finally waking up. "Hey" I smiled. "Hi" he says rubbing his eyes tiredly. I smiled as he sat up and looked at Aunt Tori. "Seb, this is my Aunt Tori" I say introducing him. "Nice to meet you" he says and Aunt Tori eyes widened.

"Can I go play?" He asked and I smiled. "Of course. Are you hungry?" I asked and he shook his head running to his room.

"Damn! He is polite!" Aunt Tori says and I smiled as we hear a door open. I looked at her confused. "Hello?" I say kinda scared.

"It's me!" Shawn says, throwing the keys on the table by the door and walked in the living room. "It's only 11" I asked looking at my phone. "Hey stranger!" He smiled, kissing Aunt Tori's cheek and I smiled.

"Yeah. They had to close my job down so now I'm not working!" He says, kissing me and sitting down next to me. I looked at him smiling. "So how have you been?" He asked looking at my aunt. "Pretty good. Oh and my daughter might be flying down here sometime this week" she says and I smiled.

"Where's Sebastian?" Shawn asked. "In his room playing. He just woke up" I answered and he nods. "The cops called" he says and my eyes widened. "What? What'd they say?" I asked. "Well they found his mom and her boyfriend and now they're arrested. And they want to take him so he could be placed in foster care" he says and I nod frowning.

"What's wrong?" He asked and I looked at Aunt Tori. She nods signaling me to tell him. I sighed looking at Shawn. "I can't" I just simply answered and he was confused. "Can't what?" He asked.

"I can't let him go. I love him so much already and I think...." I say pausing for a second. "I think we should adopt him" I continued and he let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank god" he says and I looked at him in confusion. "I love him already and was thinking about adopting him. I just didn't want to put pressure on you because we already have Adalynn and didn't want to make you stressed out with 2 kids" he says and I smiled. "So we're doing this?" I asked and he nods hugging me excitedly.

"Im going to call them back!" He says pulling his phone out. He dialed the cops number and put it on speaker.

"Hello?" He asked.

"Hey! This is Shawn Mendes! I'm calling about Sebastian!" He asked and Aunt Tori was smiling non stop and I was crying happy tears.

"Oh. Did you find a time where I could come pick him up?" The cop asked. "Uhhh no. We would like to reconsider that" Shawn says and it was silent for a second.

"What do you mean?" He asked and I smiled wiping my tears. "We would like to adopt him!!"
