This book has finally reached 1k reads! I am so happy and thankful that my little One-Shot book has been clicked on a thousand times. It may not seem like much, but to me it's amazing. Every read means something to me, and I'm so happy. Thank you. So, to celebrate, I wrote this kerboodle of a One-Shot starring 3 of my favorite ships within this One-Shot series. Enjoy!

Ash and Gary sat on the roof of his house under the Kantonian sun. As soon as Ash had returned from his journey in Kalos, Gary hadn't stopped bothering him with questions about his adventures and news he'd missed from home. Of course, Ash didn't mind. He had lots to talk about, and who better to talk to than his best friend for more than 10 years?

"And Professor Oak's been trying to get your Charizard tame for days, but it won't listen. I guess it misses you too!"

"Great! I'm so excited to see all my Pokemon again, and mom, and the Professor, and Misty, Brock and Tracey. Kalos was fun, but I'm really glad to be home"

"I'm glad you're back too. It's not fun when you're gone. I haven't got anyone to spend time with, you know? And it gets so boring in Pallet when I haven't got you to make me laugh"

Ash blushed and hid his face.

"C'mon...I don't do all that. I'm just another person in this town"

"Who happens to make it the best place ever. Whenever tourists come, it's almost always just because you live here"

Ash giggled while Gary put his arm around him. They watched the sun slowly sink into the vibrant horizon, stealing the light from the sky. Gary looked down to see Ash's eyes closed, his head resting on his side. He didn't even look like he was breathing.

"Obviously. Sunset is your favorite time of the day. Too bad it only happens for a few minutes"

He smiled as he slid his hands under the younger boy, swiftly hoisting him up into his arms. Maybe a little too swift.

"Still underweight? You need to start eating, Ashy"

He carefully climbed off the roof, cautious not to drop his precious friend. Friend? No, he wanted more than a friend out of Ash. He'd known it for so long, now. When was he going to say it?

The door swung open, revealing a young woman with Ash's eyes.

"Ah, Gary! Did he fall asleep again?"

"Yep. Under the sunset, as usual. He's still way too light. You gotta make him eat more"

"Yeah, well, me and his friends have been trying for a while now. He just doesn't feel like it. Especially after what happened to him in Kalos"

Gary raised an eyebrow. What happened in Kalos? Besides Ash's loss, of course, but Ash had lost before and had never come home discouraged to eat because of it. He asked Delia what had happened, earning a surprised face back, with a "You didn't know? Everyone in the world got a broadcast about the whole situation"

An explanation later about how Ash was kidnapped, abused and almost emotionally manipulated by an evil scientist and the accidental help of a particular dark-haired man, Gary was starting to think his help wasn't so 'accidental'. Especially since this man had beaten Ash in the Kalos League.

"Did Alain ever apologize to him?"

"Ash hasn't gotten an apology from him yet, only a promise that they'd battle again. I think Alain was just expecting it to all be forgotten. Ash is taking it easy, anyway. He didn't even bother to tell you, and we both know he tells you everything. At least he's willing to let it wash over"

"Well I'm not"

Gary abruptly stood up and headed up the stairs, on his way to Ash's room. Delia sighed and rubbed her face, staring at a picture of a black-haired man with a red cap.

'Why weren't you there when you were needed most?'

Gary's feet pounded the surface of the corridor. He punched open the door of Ash's room, already beginning his confrontation, before he spotted someone other than Ash in the room.

"Ash, why didn't you tell me-...Who are you?"

A man with spiky orange hair and blue eyes was sitting next to Ash, on his bed, holding his hand. Gary swore he saw some tears run down his face, before he cleared them and jumped away from the bed in surprise, dusting off his leather suit and displaying a tough facade.

"I could ask you the same question"

"I'm Ash's best friend. Gary. Now answer mine. Who are you?"

"I, uh, I'm...a friend, um, of Ash's...mother. I heard about the...um, incident in Kalos and wanted to check on the boy. I know him"

Gary slowly nodded his head in fake belief and made his way towards the suspicious man.

"Ash?"

Another man walked in, one with dark hair. Dark hair. Sounded very familiar. At least, to Gary, as he recognized immediately who he was, and stomped up to him, grabbing him by the collar, surprising him.

"You! You're the one who-"

The two broke into a fight, which soon ended in a childish squabble on the carpet, with words being exchanged in between. Lysandre ignored their immature quarrel and continued to cherish the young boy, who was somehow still lost in sleep. Alain came out on top and slapped him, leaving a rosy mark on his cheek.

"I did NOT intentionally hurt Ash! It was him!"

He pointed to the orange-haired man on the bed, to which Gary leaped up from his pathetic position and charged at him. Being the coward he was, Lysandre stood still, like he was waiting to get beaten up. That was the case until something pulled Gary's leg back, forcing him to land on his stomach.

"Stop attacking people!"

"You two attacked Ash!"

"I didn't attack him, I tried to use him!"

"That's even worse!"

"Well I wasn't a part of it!"

"STOP!"

They all turned to the teen asleep on the bed, thinking the voice commanding them to stop came from him. But his eyes were still shut. They shifted their gaze to the woman in the doorway, who was aiming deathly stares at all of them.

"STOP. FIGHTING. My son is tired and injured from something that happened only a few days ago, that almost killed him! He needs his rest and all you can do is argue about it!"

Suddenly, they all stopped and stared at Ash. He was quite the light sleeper; how had he not woken up yet?

-A few hours later-

"People who are due for a coma might get it a few days later than expected, and since your son is lacking food and energy, that might make it harder for him to get back on his feet when he wakes up. Surprisingly, his immune system is still going strong, so it shouldn't take him more than a week"

"Thank you, doctor"

Delia sighed as she stared at her comatose son. Finally, he looked peaceful. But Delia and the others would rather have him awake at this point. Silence hung in the air before she left, explaining that she couldn't bare to stay any longer.

All three men stayed with him the whole week, until he finally woke up.

Who got to him first?

Let's just say it was a draw. A draw meaning a hospital room containing a massively confused, innocent child being screamed at by three men who wanted to proclaim their love.
