Sawyer walked down the street towards the lab of Professor Sycamore, who'd accepted to heal his Sceptile after a difficult battle. After people had seen him lose to Ash in the Kalos League, they weren't eager to challenge him. But Ash had convinced a few to give him a chance and spread the word that he was a great trainer, which he was truly thankful for. He'd found out more about Ash each day, starting from little things like how he was actually younger, how his first language wasn't English, escalating to things like how he'd never met his dad or how he'd been bullied a lot during his early childhood. Their relationship was getting more and more personal, but that didn't mean Sawyer hated it at all. He particularly enjoyed sitting down with Ash and talking about things that made them happy, while staring at his cute little face and his perfect body, and sometimes even wishing he could touch them, which was getting more and more frequent. It was strange spiral of thoughts, but, in a way, it made him feel good.
Once he arrived at the lab, he made a swift knock on the door, followed by a high-pitched "I'll get it!" from a voice inside. The handle turned and he was suddenly staring at the boy of his dreams.
"Sawyer! Hi! Picking up Sceptile?"
"U-Um...yeah. Is he okay now?"
"Professor Sycamore took care of him. He's fine. Sceptile!"
A tall, green Pokemon resembling the image of leaves ran up to its trainer, saying its name with delight. Sawyer called it back and smiled.
"Well, thanks for, um, helping it", he praised, unable to take his eyes off Ash's smooth legs, which were exposed by the white shorts he was wearing.
"Are you okay?"
"What? Oh! Um, yeah. I was just gonna ask if I could...stay?"
"Yeah, sure! The Professor is held up in traffic from picking up groceries, so I've just been sitting here getting bored. Finally I have company!"
Sawyer blushed as he walked into the lab. It was nice to see Ash happy, especially if it was because of him.
"So, how's things been going for you, Ash?"
Ash stopped. His head fell as if his neck went numb. Sawyer started to get nervous. Oh no. Did he just ruin Ash's mood?
"Well...dad still isn't home..."
Sawyer reached out a hand and placed it on his shoulder.
"Oh, Ash. I'm sorry..."
Suddenly, Ash twirled around and chuckled with a grin, reassuring but also surprising the other.
"But it's fine! He hasn't come in 14 years, anyway! Why would he come now, right?"
"O-Oh...I thought you were sad"
"Well, no point staying sad! Come on, let's go play with the Pokemon!"
Ash took Sawyer's hand, much to his delight, and dragged him into the greenhouse with him. Hours went by as they played with the creatures, Sawyer regularly checking on Ash to get his dose of smiles. It was like he needed it. Or he just really wanted it.
Without warning, a large Charizard stormed into the area, roaring loudly. The smaller Pokemon scurried away, leaving it with the two distraught humans.
"That's Alain's Charizard. It's been getting real cocky, just coming in whenever it wants, since it beat my Greninja in the finals", Ash scoffed, eyeing the rude Pokemon.
Sawyer stayed silent as he was still scared, but his attention was drawn to the metal accessory around its neck with the blue stone engraved into it.
"Alain got himself a Mega Stone yesterday, and even though we all know he bought it from some guy in the street, me and Professor Sycamore had to congratulate him for 'finding it'. Even Mairin knows, and she hasn't said anything yet. Most of us aren't even sure it works. But since Alain is getting just as arrogant is his Charizard, we're all keeping our mouths shut"
Sawyer felt his blood boil. He knew Alain also felt some sort of attraction towards the younger male, which already drove him to dislike the man. But, now that he'd gotten overconfident, Sawyer didn't think he'd ever find it in himself to accept him. It was final. He wouldn't let Alain take Ash away.
He watched that very teen stomp up to the large Pokemon, still looking cute, and make his point.
"Listen, bitch! Just because you beat me and my Greninja in the league, doesn't mean you gotta act like something better than the rest of us, okay?! You and your buying-rocks-from-men-in-the-street-trainer are treating people like you saved the world on your own! Me, Sawyer and everyone else helped too! So you and Alain can get your league-winning asses outta here, and fuck off! And fuck your golden trophy, it's fake gold anyway!"
Sawyer was surprised, but also impressed. He didn't think Ash could snap like that, but Alain and Charizard deserved it, and he gave it to them right.
However, Charizard didn't look as impressed. It screamed with rage and began a rampage, shaking its metal off of its neck. The large accessory was heading towards Sawyer, about to pummel him into the ground, but he saw Ash leap in front of him, grab and yank off a piece of iron from it, and use it to slash it away, essentially creating his own sword, before landing perfectly in front of the older teen.
"H-H-How did you do that?"
"Oh yeah! I never told you! You know how I'm Japanese, and my first language is Japanese? See, the thing is, while I was waiting for my dad to come home, I kinda taught myself sword-fighting with his old katana. And then I got one for myself"
"So that's why your bond with Greninja worked so well! You're basically a Japanese ninja, and it's the Ninja Pokemon!"
"Well, I wouldn't call myself a ninja, but I-"
He was interrupted by a big, orange wing trying to punch him into the ground, but instead, he swung his new sword at it and cut Charizard's wing, making it scream once more. He then lowered the sword down into a fighting stance.
"Not so fast, asshole. You wanna hurt Sawyer? Better get past me first"
Sawyer felt his heart flutter. Did Ash just openly admit how much he cared for him? Well, not literally, but it was enough to make him feel loved.
Charizard continued to swing at the two, resulting in a miss due to Ash's amazing blocking skills. He ran up to the Pokemon, leaped about 3 meters above ground, did the scariest somersault possible and, while still in mid-air, slashed one of its teeth off, causing it to cry out loud one last time before it collapsed. Ash landed perfectly with a katana in one hand and a large, dirty tooth in the other. Sawyer stood there in amazement.
"That'll stop you from being a bully. You'd better stop annoying the public, fella, or else you could take away your trainer's title", Ash advised the unconscious Charizard as he dropped its tooth.
He turned to face Sawyer, who was in the middle of collecting himself.
"All I have to say...", Sawyer started, out of breath, trying to get the words out, "Is that you're a perfect combination of crazy, strong, cute and cool. And I...I..."
Was he really about to say it? No, he couldn't. What if he didn't like him back? He was thinking of dismissing it, but what pushed those thoughts away was a pair of bright red lips touching his. He felt overwhelmed with happiness. He held his younger crush as they sunk down into the grass, enjoying each other's embrace. When their lips separated, he blushed like crazy. But Ash's smile soothed him.
"...You love me?"
"...Yes. I love you. I have for a while now. At first, I thought it was just friendship, but now, I realize I really do have feelings for you, Ash"
The shorter boy giggled.
"We may have both lost the league, but let's not lose each other, okay?"
"Okay"

Pokemon Shipping Oneshots (Ash Ketchum Shippings Only)
FanfictionI decided to make this book where each part is a Oneshot of an Ash Ketchum shipping, since I don't really like ships that don't include him. I think most of them will be yaoi. I'm happy to take suggestions.
