jeongin.
jeongin went to the rooftop, his eyebrows furrowed. why would hyunjin think he was lying ? he never drank milk, for real !
the rooftop didn't contain anything, but a small table, and four chairs around. well, jeongin didn't expect much either. it was just a rooftop.
he got close to the rebord, and looked to the forest, deep in thoughts. he missed the old days, when his dad was the headman of their small village.
everyone had peace, everyone was safe, everyone was free. people had food, their children had the possibility to go to school, high class, or low class, everyone was equal.
it was truly good times.
since dohyeon took his place, the village was hell, and jeongin even found himself being glad to have been kicked out. he was afraid for his friends, though. did dohyeon do anything to them, because he knew they were friend with him ? were they safe ?
jeongin hated how they couldn't just run away from there. if they did so, dohyeon would track them, and torture them to death. his 'subjects' —as he called them— had to stay.
jeongin turned around, when he heard footsteps. hyunjin was walking toward the table, holding a plate, with two mugs on it, and a plate between them.
the younger forced his thoughts to the back of his head, and joined hyunjin. he sat across from him, eyeing the hot drink. it smelled delicious, and jeongin's couldn't wait to taste it.
so without waiting, he grabbed one mug, bringing it to his lips.
"no, wait, it's too hot-"
too late.
"it's hot !" jeongin cried.
"oh my God, are you okay ?" hyunjin rushed to ask.
"i guess i am. i just burned the tip of my poor tongue a bit."
"wait here, i'll bring you cold water-" he got up, but jeongin grabbed his arm.
"jinnie hyung, there's no need." he smiled sweetly. "i'm fine, i swear !"
hyunjin hesitated a few seconds, before finally nodding, and sitting back down.
"hey, have you ever tasted cookies ? i made some, this morning."
"cookies ?" jeongin frowned, as he knew what it was, but couldn't remember. "my mom already talked about cookies, and if i remember well, she baked some too, sometimes."
hyunjin was about to say something, but closed his mouth, looking somewhat irritated. "well, it's delicious, and, without bragging, mine are fantastic ! here," he handed the plate to jeongin, "take one."
jeongin hesitated for a second. the looked, and smelled good, but still. then he thought that, if hyunjin said it was delicious, then probably it was.
he took one, and bit into it. it was so good, he couldn't help but close his eyes.
"it tastes amazing !" he complimented, once he finished it.
hyunjin smiled. "eat as much as you want. there's more, down, in the kitchen."
jeongin smiled sweetly at him, and hyunjin's heart skipped a beat. why ? he didn't know.
he tried to silence his thoughts, about jeongin's smile being the most beautiful thing ever, and jeongin himself being the cutest person alive.
"won't you eat some ?" jeongin, who was at his forth, asked hyunjin, who hadn't eaten any.
hyunjin smiled. "no. you eat them, i'm not in the mood to eat cookies, now." he lied.
in fact, he just wanted to let jeongin eat them, as he seemed to love it.
"you sure ?"
"i am, i promise." he smiled, and jeongin nodded, still unsure, but didn't want to keep insisting —as he didn't like to. "tell me, jeongin."
"what ?"
"you... you still don't want to tell me anything about... you ?"
jeongin avoided his gaze, and stopped chewing. he wasn't expecting this at all. all he wanted was to forget this.
"i... i'd like to. i'd really like to, i swear, but... it's- it's kinda... weird, and special, and even unbelievable. you won't believe it."
"why wouldn't i ?"
"i know you wouldn't. humans don't believe this."
hyunjin rose a brow. "humans don't believe this ?" he repeated.
"yeah, you don't."
"try to tell me, and i swear i'll believe you."
"hyunjin, you won't. without proof, at least, you won't."
"are you able to deliver proofs, right now ?"
jeongin hesitated. "kinda."
"then tell me, and if needed, prove it."
jeongin didn't answer right away. he wanted to tell hyunjin, he really did. but he was afraid. the castle rules forbid it-
but he wasn't part of the castle anymore. not even of the village. so what was keeping him from doing so ?
"all right. i- i guess i will."
hyunjin widened his eyes. "really ? you will ?"
"only if you promise that you'll never tell anyone."
"i promise, i swear on my life, that i'll never tell anyone."
"and please... this isn't obligated, but... please, don't throw me out, or don't stop talking to me."
"i don't think i'd ever do that."
"i think you could."
"but i don't want to." he smiled softly. "i- i like- i like to, uh... i like the fact that i know you." he stuttered, scratching the back of his neck, as he blushed.
jeongin smiled as well. "i- uh... me too."

i can never write on someone else's phone, without it getting deleted afterward, i don't understand ??
result : i can be on time anymore, and i can't keep my promises.
im sick of myself, lol, and i hope you'll forgive a poor author who try their best. 😔✊
anyway, i initially wanted to write a cute and fluffy chapter, but i don't understand how it turned like this, but don't you guys worry,, the cuteness will come (hopefully it'll be cute lmao)
