chapitre vingt-quatre

minho

"guys." minho called, as he was laying in his bed, at five am.

"what is it ?" seungmin answered.

"it's been a long time we last saw jeongin."

"it's been like three days." chan said.

"it is too long. we have to go check on him. let's go today."

"now ?" seungmin frowned.

"did i say now ? i said today. i think the humans wake up around ten am or something. let's go then."

"are you sure ? dohyeon is being careful with us." chan reminded them.

"yeah, i know, but he won't find out. this crusty old bitch is sleeping at this hour. so are you guys okay to go, or should i go alone ?"

"obviously we're okay to go." seugmin rolled his eyes.

minho nodded, then they slept. contrarily to the other vampires, they would have to wake up in the middle of the day, instead of having a full day of sleep.

but for jeongin, they didn't mind. their friend was more important than a few hours of sleep supplementary.

minho was the first one to wake up, at ten fourteen, and then proceeded to wake his two friends up. the three of them got ready quickly, and flew through the hole at the top of the wall.

just before exiting the forest, they changed back into humans, and walked to hyunjin's house.

when they got to the front door, a girl with black hair joined them. they all looked at each other, frowning.

what was this girl doing here ? did hyunjin invited her, despite having jeongin at home ? what if she hurt his baby ?

chan was the one ringing, as no one seemed to do it. minho —who ended up being the only one left looking at the girl— looked away, and so did she.

a few minutes later, hyunjin opened the door.

"oh, uh... hey. come- come in." he said, letting them all in, then closing the door.

"where's jeongin ?" minho asked.

"he's in the bathroom. uh... do any of you want to eat ? jisung made breakfast."

irene smiled. "we don't want to bother you."

"no, no, not at all. jeongin will be there in a second, what about we eat together ?"

"i guess we could."

hyunjin les them to the kitchen, where jisung was putting on the table a plate of eggs.

jisung looked at them, starting from minho, to whom he offered a small smile. minho smiled (more like curved his thinned lips upward), and looked away, not understanding why he was embarrassed.

"oh, hey, i recognize you !" he exclaimed, pointing to the girl. "you're irene, right ?"

all the eyes were on him, but he didn't seem bothered, as he kept his goofy smile.

"i recognize you too, jisung." she said.

minho, chan and seungmin looked at her. irene ? that name was weirdly familiar.

"what's your last name ?" minho asked.

irene looked at him. "who are you ?"

"didn't i ask first ?" he rose an eyebrow.

"i'll tell you only if you answer my question."

"we are jeongin's best friends. we used to live in the same village."

irene widened her eyes. "what do you mean, in the same village ?"

minho frowned. "you seem to know what i mean."

"so that means..." she trailed off.

"yes, that's what it means. now it's your turn to answer my question. what's your last name ?"

"bae. bae irene."

all three boys' eyes widened.

"it's really you ?" chan asked, whispering slightly, so no one could hear him.

"yes."

"what are you doing here ?" minho asked.

"i'm visiting jeongin. i'm assuming you're doing the same."

"whoa, jeongin is that important, huh. the bae irene herself comes visit him." seungmin said.

irene rose an eyebrow. "i'm not that important, why are you acting like i'm famous or something ?" irene chuckled slightly.

"but you are ! everyone knows you, you're like the old mystery hollowing over the village. how do you know jeongin ?"

"and why does the human know you ?" minho added.

"i saw the two of them, like... two days ago, then i asked jeongin to meet again. this is a kinda long story short, and i can't really talk about everything now. if you want to know more, ask jeongin."

"he can tell us everything ?" seungmin asked brightly.

irene shrugged. "if he assumes he can trust you, he'll tell you everything."

before anyone could add anything, jisung's voice was heard. "i'll go see where jeongin is. breakfast's ready. y'all can sit, and start eating, i'll be sure to come back quickly with jeongin."

and then he rushed out of the kitchen.

i hope this chapter wasn't too boring. i thought it had been long since i made a minho point of view, but i also didn't plan for it to go this way. 🙄

im complaining too much about myself asksk sorry guys lol.

oh, also there's finally something going kinda right in my life, lol. so y'all probably don't know it, but i'm actually looking for a job (i've been looking for a month), and i think i may finally be able to be hired somewhere soon !!

well, i hope so, i really need a job asksksk.
