Yunho:
A soft sigh came from her as she looked through letters she just took from her mailbox. Nothing but bills and something about her being verified as a working citizen and is suggested to use a credit card. It was all the usual, but very irritating since she was waiting for something to arrive. She was so focused on her mail that she didn't notice the person standing on the other end of the wall of mailboxes.
Yunho, her neighbor, who lived on the same floor as her, had expected his morning to go on like any other day. He was going to wake up, get his mail, eat breakfast, and go to work. But, he was surprised and delighted to see that Noeul was here.
Noeul had moved into the apartment down the hall from his a year ago, he had helped her with a large plant in a pretty pink vase when they had run into each other on the stairs. It was the first conversation they had and the last. Yes, they would see each other occasionally and make small greeting to each other before going on their merry way. But, other than that, they didn't talk to each other much. Which was unfortunate for Yunho because he found her very attractive and, you could say, had developed a crush on Noeul. He always planned to ask her on a date, but she was never around.
Not like he was a stalker or anything, but he always noticed she was never home when he gained some courage to ask her out and knock on her door. Though it was none of his business where Noeul would be for days and even weeks at a time, he would get frustrated when he couldn't get a hold of her. But, now, today was the day she asks her as he was planning to ask her for weeks now.
"Hey, Noeul," Yunho whispered to her, making her look up from her mail and over to him. The way she looked over at him with her curious eyes made him feel flustered. But, he tried to focus on what he was going to ask her.
"Oh, hey, Yunho," she said, looking back down at her mail.
"Uh," he began to say, making her looked back at him. "I was wondering where you went. I was afraid you moved or something."
"Aniyo. I was just working," she said.
Yunho questioned what job required someone to be away from home for weeks, but he didn't bother to say it out loud. He cleared his throat as Noeul stuffed the mail in her purse and put her undivided attention on him. "I was wondering where you were because I wanted to ask you something important."
"Ne? What is it?"
Yunho averted his eyes as he scratched the back of his neck, becoming a little embarrassed as he always imagined him asking her out, but saying the words out loud was too real for him. He was kind of afraid of what she would say, but he knew he couldn't leave her hanging as he had already got her attention.
"Well...I was wondering if you would go on a date...with me," he said, looking down at her once he finished his question.
Noeul was shocked that someone asked her out on a date, especially someone she didn't expect to ask her out. She was so used to men just asking her for sex and nothing more. It was flattering to her that Yunho asked her this.
"Do you really?"
"Ne. I wanted to go out with you for a while now," Yunho said. "So, would you go out with me?"
Noeul chuckled and nodded happily, making Yunho sigh in relief. Just as he was about to discuss were they should go and when Noeul's phone rung in her purse. "Oh, uh, excuse me," she said, fishing out her phone and looking at the collar ID. The name she read made her shy mood turns into annoyance. "Mianhae, I have to take this."
"Sure thing," Yunho said as she stepped aside and answered her phone. Yunho took the opportunity to get her mail. As he did, he noticed Noeul was almost yelling at the person on the other end of her call. He overheard her talking about how she was off and that the person she was talking to didn't send her her paycheck. Though Yunho was curious, he tried his best not to eavesdrop.
"Fine," Noeul sighed. "I'll be there in a few minutes. But I better get an extra day off, and my paycheck better has a couple more hundreds added to it."
'Hundreds? She must have a well-paid job,' Yunho thought, growing a little envious.
Noeul turned to Yunho and gave him a disappointed look. "Mianhae, I have to fill in for someone at my job."
"Ah," Yunho said, showing that he understood.
"I'll be getting off at nine, so maybe we can go out tomorrow?" she suggested.
"Oh, sure. Ne. Tomorrow's good."
They stood there, staring at each other for a while until they eventually chuckled at their awkward silence.
"Well, see you later," Noeul said, waving to him as she turned to leave him. Yunho raised his hand and waved back, feeling butterflies in his stomach. Once she was gone from his sight, Yunho jumped for joy, praising himself for having the courage to ask her out. Now all was next is to set up the perfect date for tomorrow.

At work, Yunho was thinking about the date he and Noeul will have. He was going to rent bikes to ride to and around the park, then they were going to have lunch at this restaurant he loves to go to after work. He was sure if they could squeeze other things into the date, they would.
He was in dreamland for the whole day, but his bliss ended when his coworkers took him to a brothel. It was a once in a while thing for him and his coworkers to go to a restaurant, wind down and become closer friends than before. But, his colleagues failed to inform him that the plans changed at that they were going to wind down a different way.
"Are you kidding me? Why are we here?" Yunho asked, looking up at the sign that read: The Bird Cage. He then looked around the area, making his concern known with a groan. He has never been on this side of town, it seemed a bit sketch even though there were a fair amount of people walked around.
"What are you so afraid of?" one of his older coworkers said, nudging him with his elbow. "What are you a virgin or something."
Yunho rolled his eyes as they laughed at him and entered the building. He would just turn around and go home, but they were his ride. So, he went inside and was greeted by the smell of jasmine incents, the hot clutter of women luring men from here to there and behind closed doors, and the sound of moans and groans. He stood behind his coworkers as they talked to a woman behind a desk, his attention drawn to the chandelier hanging above his head and then to a familiar girl leaning over the banister. His eyes widened when he realized the girl was Noeul.
He smiled and was going to call her, but then he noticed what she was wearing. A floral silk robe that was open for him to see that she had on sexy pink lingerie under it. So many questions raised in his head, but the obvious one was if she worked here.
"Hey, Noeul, get down here and greet your new customer," the woman from behind the counter called. Yunho looked behind him and realized his coworkers have been dragged away by woman, leaving him alone in the entrance. He looked at the woman who was smiling at him. "Don't worry, your friends say you're new here. Noeul will show you a good, comfortable time."
"You called?" Noeul asked the Mistress. She looked over to the tall male with his back turned to her.
"New customer."
"New, huh?" Noeul said. She looked back at the male who began to turn to her, and she froze when she realized who it was. Noeul and Yunho stood there for a long while, taking it each other's presence and trying to get a grip on the various emotions running through them.
