(Kyu: Okay! Another chapter, lets move on to the story! As usual I hope you all are having a great day!)
[Kyu's POV]
I had activated Meditation, and my MP had started to rise significantly faster.
It soon started to rise fairly quickly, in about half an hour I got my mana to be full once again, before it used to only get about half of my mana filled in an hour. I opened my eyes and saw a screen floating in front of me, I decided I would look at it after running because I only had like fifteen minutes left.
I stepped back onto the field and got in a runner's start, as soon as I heard the signal I dashed forward and ran as fast as I could. After the first lap I had started to struggle, but I kept pushing forward, I had to get stronger and this was the best way available to me right now.
I had soon started to slow down, but I kept the same pace, this was as fast as I could go now, but I was still pushing myself, I had soon completed the second lap and I was going to continue running, I forced each leg in front of the other and started to speed up, I finished the third lap and stumbled off of the track yet again, I dragged myself towards Tristen, and when I got to him, I just collapsed next to him.
Tristen: "You alright?" He asked.
My face was muffled by the dirt, but I replied never the less.
"Yep, just casually dying here." I replied.
Tristen: "As one does." He stated.
"Indeed" I agreed.
He laughed in response and I rolled over onto my back, I steadied my breathing and asked him a question.
"Anyone talk to you?" I asked him, the response I got was a shake of the head, I replied by nodding, too tired to formulate words.
I opened my stats and looked at my Mana, it was absolutely bottomed out, I had literally zero MP. But I looked at the screens in front of me and everything seemed worth it.
[You have ran nearly 2 kilometers, for this you have been rewarded with an increase in Dexterity by 2!]
[Meditation has leveled up!]
[NEW SKILL ALERT: "Dash"]
[Due to running excessively, you have created the skill Dash!]
{When activated this skill increases your Dexterity by 2 points, however you can only use this skill for 3 minutes until you have to use MP to keep it active.}
Yes! My Meditation leveled up, I'm faster, and I got a new skill to make me even faster! The pain of running has paid off! Yay!
After having a mini celebration in my head, I closed the screens and laid back of the grass, I started to enjoy what a beautiful day it was, it was quite warm, and I realized the reason why. I hadn't changed into the sports uniform... Which meant I got my only uniform dirty as all heck...I face palmed and groaned, realizing how stupid I am. I sat up and saw Tristen staring at me.
Tristen: "Realize your still wearing your uniform?" He asked me.
"Yep." I replied casually.
Tristen: "Is the realization slowly dawning upon you how stupid you are?" He asked me.
"You know it." I said.
Tristen started laughing, I soon joined in and I took my blazer off of my shoulders, I have no idea how it stayed on while I was running, I laid on the grass and rested my head on my arm, I watched the other students running and exercising, I looked at Tristen.
"Didn't you want to tell me about something?" I asked him.
Tristen: "Hm? O-oh yeah... That..." He said, his tone went serious and he leaned closer to begin whispering.
Tristen: "Okay so... This is kinda hard to say but... I died." He stated.
...Okay that's a thing.
"Excuse me what?" I said.
Tristen: "I died." He said.
"Excuse me what?" I stated, slightly faster this time.
Tristen: "I. Died." He repeated once again.
"'Scuse me wut?" I said, getting faster.
Tristen: "Kyu, I don't have time for thi-" He begun to say but was interrupted.
"'Cuse me wat?" I interrupted.
Tristen: "Kyu, seriously, I don't have ti-" He was saying but was interrupted once again, this time I had reached full speed.
"asbfgiosdngionbsdgoib wut?" I said.
...
...
...
Tristen: "You done now?" He asked me.
"Excuse me wu-" I was saying but was interrupted by Tristen slapping me.
"...Ow..."
Tristen laughed but went back to being serious.
Tristen: "So, can I continue?" I nodded slowly. "Good, now shush."
Tristen: "You see, a couple of months ago I was approached by a man in a trench coat, he sent off the usual creep vibes but when I walked past him, I got stabbed with a weapon made out of light." He told us, this was starting to sound familiar.
Tristen: "I was revived by an angel, like from the bible. Anyway they revived, or reincarnated, me into an angel. So basically, praise Jesus and such." He said.
"PRAISE JESUS!" I yelled while holding our hands in the air, I was doing jazz hands as I held my hands up. I am such a freaking crackhead.
Tristen: "Yep, and a few days ago I found you bleeding out in an alley, way to go." He said sarcastically.
"HEY! The guy had a crossbow okay?!" I retorted.
Tristen: "Sure he did, anyway, I had recently been given the same objects used to reincarnate me, so obviously, I reincarnated Kyu here into an angel." He told us.
"Ohhhh, you were the one who called my name while I was dying." I realized.
Tristen: "Yeah, anyway so basically Kyu is an angel, I'm an angel, the other people here are not angels." He finished his story.
"Okay then." I blinked.
P.E. Had soon ended, and me and Tristen were forced to go back to class.
We later regrouped at the central staircase in the main entrance of the school, we nodded to each other as a greeting and walked out of the building. By the time I had realized that I probably should have told Tristen about my Gamer ability, I had gotten home already. Oh well, guess I'll tell him later.
(Kyu: Hello everyone! We've finally discovered Kyu's race! However there's still the threat at school that needs to be discovered, join us next time in the next episode of Dragon Ba- Okay, I'm sorry, I'll stop. Anyway as usual I hope you all enjoyed the story and I hope you are all having a great day!)
