Highschool DxD: The Game (Early Work)

Part #48. The School Festival.

Kyu: "I beg your pardon?" He asked.

Koneko: "Put this on." She repeated.

Kyu: "Okay, but what's the reason?" He asked.

Koneko: "Because." She said.

Kyu: "Hey! I know you're comfortable with talking in full gosh darn sentences now, you can't pull that stuff anymore!" He stated.

Koneko: "Fine. We decided to add a cafe part to the old schoolhouse, and you have to be a waiter." She stated.

Kyu: "...You realize that people are going to show up in... like five minutes, right?" He asked.

Koneko: "Mhm."

Kyu: "What's with the last minute changes?" He asked.

Koneko: "Don't question it." She told him.

Kyu: "Oh, so like usual?" He asked.

Koneko: "Yep." She nodded.

Kyu: "Fine." He sighed and snatched the outfit from Koneko's hand.

He pushed her out of the room and a flash of blue pixelated light engulfed said room and he walked out of the room wearing a pair of black slacks, a white button-up shirt, a magenta vest, and a dark magenta necktie.

Kyu: "Well, at least I'm fancy as heck." He shrugged.

Akeno: "I'll say." Her voice rang.

Kyu turned around and looked down the hall to see Akeno wearing her shrine priestess outfit.

Kyu: "Hey. How's it going?" He asked her.

Akeno: "Good. We've got the fortune-telling and purification corner set up, and the cafe only needs a few more chairs." She told him.

Kyu: "Alright, I'll go get them." He told her before he vanished from thin air.

Kyu walked into the entrance of the old schoolhouse and found that the room really did look like a cafe.

Asia: "Oh, hi, Kyu-kun!" She waved to him.

Kyu: "Yo, Asia-senpai." He greeted her.

Asia was wearing a magenta maid-themed waitress uniform, as were the other girls in the room.

Kyu: "Where should I put these?" He asked, referring to the stack of chairs he was balancing on his head.

Rias: "Just over there is fine." She said, pointing to the left side of the room.

Kyu gave her a thumbs up and began taking chairs off of his head and placing them down at tables.

Kyu: "Aight, what should I do, next?" He asked.

Rias: "Hm... can you start making some desserts to serve?" She asked.

Kyu: "Sure!" He nodded and grew a mischievous smile.

Kyu walked into the back room, where Issei and Gasper were deciding on costumes to use to scare people later.

Kyu: "Why a costume, Issei-senpai? You'll scare people just fine with your normal appearance." He said as he walked past them.

Issei: "Why so mean?" He asked.

Kyu: "You know why." He responded before walking out of the room.
