Highschool DxD: The Game (Early Work)

Part #30. The First Bishop.

(Third Person POV)

Koneko: "Is this why we had to get here so early?" She asked the boy floating in his moat.

Kyu: "Yeah." He stated.

Koneko: "Just to bite him?" She asked.

Kyu: "Mhm." He confirmed.

Koneko: "And you knew he was going to try and take down the castle?" She asked.

Kyu: "Indeed." He confirmed again.

Koneko: "Are you going to tell me why half of you is burnt?" She asked another question.

Kyu: "I'll try to get around to it, but probably not." He told her.

Koneko: "Okay." She said, accepting it instantly.

Kyu kicked the water and propelled himself into the air, he landed next to Koneko and shook his head, spraying water everywhere. Koneko held up her schoolbag to block the water being flung towards her, and once Kyu stopped, she lowered the bag.

Kyu: "Wanna go inside and play some games?" He asked.

Koneko: "Mhm." She nodded her head.

The two walked into the large clay castle and Kyu pulled out two Nintendo Switches. Both of them had the default red and blue controllers.

Kyu: "Breath of the Wild, first one to beat Ganon wins?" He asked her.

Koneko: "Bring it." She told him.

(About half an hour later)

Akeno had just arrived at the school when she noticed some noise coming from behind the building, which was odd, because she was one of the first people who got to school, along with the student council.

She walked through the halls until she reached the back entrance of the school, where she saw that the drawbridge to Kyu's lair was lowered. She grew an amused smile on her face and began walking to the castle, over the moat, and into the castle. She walked into the lounge where she saw Kyu and Koneko sitting next to each other on a clay couch. They both held a Switch and Kyu was talking to Koneko.

Kyu: "I cannot believe you." He stated.

Koneko: "What?' She asked innocently.

Kyu: "You know what you did." He said, narrowing his eyes at her.

Koneko: "I plead the fifth." She stated.

Kyu: "Fifth? Like the fifth time I was going to kill that Lynel?" He asked.

Koneko: "I deny any and all accusations thrown my way." She told him.

Kyu: "You walked Link into that fire and you know it." He told her.

Akeno: "Good morning." She greeted the two.

Kyu: "Good morning, Akeno-senpai." He greeted her.

Koneko: "Morning." She greeted as well.

Akeno: "What are you guys doing here so early?" She asked them.

Koneko: "Kyu stopped Saji-senpai from wrecking his castle." She informed her.

Akeno: "I see..." She said.

Kyu: "Here, Akeno-senpai. You can play for a bit. I'll start making us something to eat." He told her before handing her his Switch and walking into the clay kitchen.

Akeno: "Um... Thanks?" She asked, not entirely sure what he was going to do in there since all of the appliances were made out of clay.

Akeno opened up the menu and got a quick run-down of the controls before she began playing as Kyu's Link.
