Part #20. The Battle (Part 1)

(Kyu's POV)

We were all standing outside, Issei-senpai and Kiba-senpai were going to fight. Rias-senpai currently had Issei-senpai boosting as much as he can.

Akeno: "That's twelve times he's powered up now." She said.

Rias: "Stop! Issei-" She said before I cut her off.

"No. Keep on going." I told him. Issei-senpai nodded and continued boosting. He managed to get to seventeen before he clenched his teeth in pain.

"That's good." I told him. He stopped boosting and tried to keep the power from leaving him.

Rias: "Wow... What did you do to him, Kyu-kun?" She asked me.

"I just gave him some pointers. And told him to boost until he feels like his bones are going to shatter." I said.

Rias: "That's... Insane..." She told me.

"Little bit." I responded.

???: "Explosion!"

I stared at Issei-senpai's gauntlet and saw that yellow markings had formed above the green gem. Kiba-senpai jumped into the air and swung downwards, but Issei-senpai managed to block it and kick Kiba-senpai back.

Rias: "Issei, fire off a mass of magical power!" She told him.

He held out his left hand and formed a ping-pong ball sized orb of red mana. It looked fairly weak, but I noticed the density of magic inside of it.

"Grab onto something." I told everyone. I formed a large wall out of mana to cover the spectators.

Rias: "Fire it!" She said.

Issei-senpai reared his left fist back before punching the small orb. The orb exploded into a large beam that flew towards Kiba-senpai. He managed to dodge the beam, barely.

The red beam flew towards a mountain in the distance. Upon contact, the beam exploded and it took out about a quarter of the mountain top.

"That was a small amount of an adult dragon's power..." I said. I immediately got the same feeling of the magic that the Sprite Dragon used against me.

Issei-senpai fell to the ground after the attack. Asia-senpai immediately went over to him and began helping him.

I decided to Observe Issei-senpai's Sacred Gear before it vanished. I wanted to know where the source of that power came from.

Holy mother of god...

The man has a dragon. This seems unfair... Says me who can grow infinitely stronger, god I'm such a hypocrite.

(The Night of the Rating Game)

I was at Koneko-san's house. We were preparing for the Rating Game together, I had worn what I thought was best. Some stretchy jeans, a teal plaid jacket with a black long sleeved shirt underneath, some yellow and white sneakers and I had a bright yellow hoodie tied around my waist. I looked fashionable, and my clothing wouldn't get in the way of my movement.

I was kind of disappointed in myself for not getting the skill I wanted during the training camp. But that was okay, I would get it eventually.

Koneko-san had walked out of her bathroom, she was wearing her usual Kuoh Academy uniform.

"No. Pick something else to wear." I told her.

Koneko: "Why?" She asked me.

"I will not accept skirts being worn in a fight." I answered. She grabbed some clothing and walked back into the bathroom to change.
