Highschool DxD: The Game (Early Work)

Part #27. The Return.

(Third Person POV)

The sun shined upon the town of Kuoh, birds sang, the flowers swayed softly in the breeze, and those who attended Kuoh Academy were on their way to school. Although, there were a few students who weren't going, they hadn't gone to school for nearly a month now, and that was because they were mourning the death of their friend, a young boy named Kyu.

Those who mourned him, where Issei, the perverted fiend, Rias, the red haired devil, Asia, the former nun-turned-devil, Yuuto, a knight who had recently gotten his Balance Breaker, Akeno, a raven haired young woman who was one of the one's who took the loss harder than others, and Koneko, the white haired girl who Kyu was closest to, she took it the hardest. She hadn't actually gone home yet, she had been staying in the Occult Research Club's club room the entire time.

That was there Koneko actually was right now, she was sitting on a bed in one of the various rooms in the old schoolhouse, the girl was curled up into a ball and wearing a bright yellow hoodie that was a little bit too big for her, that used to be Kyu's.

The young girl was dreading this day, because yesterday, Rias had announced that they would all go to school again and try to return to their studies.

The white haired girl moved to the side of the bed and placed her bare feet on the floor before standing up, she stumbled a little bit because she hadn't stood up for a while, but she regained her balance and walked over to the chair next to the bed. The girl's usual school uniform had been neatly folded on the chair's seat, Akeno had prepared them for her the day before. The girl begun the process of getting changed, while the sun continued rising above the town, brightening the sky.

A bus pulled up in front of a convenience store in Kuoh, the doors swung open and several people stepped off of the vehicle, the more notable of the people, was someone who was clad in a dark grey ragged cloak, they also had a dark colored coat over the cloak. A hood was placed over their head, concealing their face with the shadows the hood had cast.

The cloaked person walked on the sidewalk, the tapping of shoes was missing from their stride, but that was because they were barefoot. The figure walked closer and closer to Kuoh Academy, but their journey was interrupted when they stepped on a particularly sharp pebble.

???: "Ow. Son of a fish stick, it's like stepping on a Lego." The figure hissed in pain as they held their left foot. Their voice sounded masculine, but it was kind of high pitched, like a mix between a teenager's voice and a child's.

The figure's pain quickly ended and he continued his walk.

Soon enough, he had reached the large building, the figure walked past the fountain and immediately noticed the stares directed at him. He assumed it was because of his clothing, but his choice of clothing wasn't his fault, he had basically nothing else to wear.

They walked into the school and walked up large amounts of stairs, once they climbed up the final step, they had reached the Administrator's Office. The figure opened the door and engaged the Administrator in conversation, he made sure to give a quick greeting to the student council president, who was in the room before the figure had arrived.

Basically, the figure wanted to enroll, and while normally he most likely could've done this online, he didn't have a phone or a computer, so he had to do it the good ol' fashioned way.

Luckily, he had been able to pick up his uniform immediately, and he started classes tomorrow, he was granted the opportunity to explore the school as long as he wore the uniform, his current appearance kind of freaked everyone out.
