Highschool DxD: The Game (Early Work)

Part #35. A Rather Short Fight.

(Third Person POV)

The ORC and the three members of the student council were all standing in a rocky area in the underworld. In front of them, was a large transparent pyramid made of magic circles. Inside of the pyramid, was Loki, the Norse god of mischief and the one who trashed the gathering yesterday.

Everyone was in their uniforms other than Kyu, as usual. He was wearing black jeans, black sneakers with orange details and a yellow hoodie.

The pyramid began shaking and Kyu sensed that the power of the barrier was beginning to falter.

Rias: "The seal is breaking." She informed the group.

They were all here to stall until a god-slaying weapon named Mjolnir was transported here. If that didn't happen in time, Kyu was planning on beating up Loki with Ruyi Jingu. Asia and Gasper weren't here since Rias had decided to leave them at the Gremory estate so they would stay safe. The combat group were joined by Irina, and Rossweisse, a Valkyrie. Irina wore her church battle outfit and Rossweisse wore an outfit that consists of a white breastplate with gold and pale blue accents and matching, fingerless gauntlets, boots, hip guards, and wing-shaped hair clips. She also wears a black leotard underneath her breastplate, black thigh-high stockings, and a pale blue cloth wrapped underneath her hip guards, all of which are clad with pink lacing along with her hair clips.She had long silver hair and aqua-colored eyes.

Kyu felt someone tug on his sleeve, he looked to his left and saw Koneko beside him.

Koneko: "Kyu. Give me courage." She told him while her cheeks turned red.

Kyu placed his hand on the top of her head.

Kyu: "It'll be fine. I won't let anything happen to you. I promise." He told her with a smile on his face.

Akeno: "Kyu..." She said. Kyu turned to face her only to see her pouting.

Kyu: "You'll be okay, too, Akeno-senpai." He reassured her with a grin on his face.

Yuuto: "He's breaking out." He told the group.

The large pyramid rose out of the ground to reveal that it was actually a diamond-shaped prison. The seal glowed brightly before the entire thing shattered, revealing a man with pale blue hair that floated above him. He wore a white robe and he had a gem on his forehead, this was Loki.

Loki: "Beelzebub! Playing such petty tricks!" He said.

Rossweisse: "Lord Loki! Baring your fangs at our great Father is unforgivable!" She told the god.

Rossweisse: "You should voice your opinions through the proper channels!" She told Loki.

Loki: "The Valkyrie that accompanies Odin. Though I hear you are talented, your power is far from a god's." He stated.

Rossweisse: "You refuse to listen to reason." She said quietly.

Loki: "You are all too weak for the opening act of Ragnarok." He stated before a flash of light appeared below him and a giant wolf appeared.

Rossweisse: "Fenrir!" She shouted. Two more flashes of light hit a couple of rocks around Fenrir and two smaller versions of the ten meter tall wolf appeared.

Rossweisse: "Those are Fenrir's children, Hati and Skoll." She stated.

Loki pointed up to the sky and a bolt of blue lightning struck the ground behind him. A large green serpent-like dragon appeared and faced the group.

Rossweisse: "Even one of the five great dragon kings, the Midgard Serpent..." She said.

Irina: "So many legendary monsters!" She stated.
