Highschool DxD: The Game (Early Work)

Part #14. I get angry for the first time in a while.

(Third Person POV)

Stars danced across the night sky, as below, a group of four teenagers ran towards a church that sat upon a hill. It looked quite run down. But they had a goal in mind, and they had a slight idea of what may lay inside the aged church.

(Kyu's POV)

Soon enough, we reached the outside of the church. Me and Koneko-san crouched down behind some bushes while Yuuto-senpai and Issei-senpai hid behind some trees.

Issei: "What a strong murderous intent." He said. I thought it felt a bit weird here.

I felt it clearer now, the strain in the air, there had to be quite a lot of people in there to emit this much bloodlust.

Yuuto: "There must be lots of priests gathered." He said.

Issei: "Seriously? I'm so relieved you came with me!" He said.

Yuuto: "We're a team after all!" He said with a smile.

Yuuto: "And personally, I'm not overly fond of fallen angels and priests. I despise them." He said with a serious look, and his voice laced with venom.

I opened up my Inventory and placed the holy gun into it. If there are so many priests, I'm gonna need to take them down all at once.

Koneko-san got up and began walking towards the door.

Issei: "Koneko-chan?" He questioned.

Koneko: "They must have noticed we're here anyway." She stated with her monotone voice. I shrugged and followed her.

I accepted the quest and watched as Koneko-san kicked the large doors open. We walked inside and I took a glance at my surroundings, there were several statues on podiums, and they were all destroyed in some way.

Issei: "This is terrible." He commented on the state of the church.

After Issei-senpai said that. We all heard footsteps, which turned our attention to the front of the room. We saw a familiar Exorcist walk out from a hallway and in front of us.

Freed: "Hey! Hey! Hey!" He yelled.

Freed: "We meet again. I'm getting sentimental." He said as he stared at us.

Issei: "Freed!" He yelled at the Exorcist.

Freed: "I'd never thought I'd meet the same demons twice." He admitted. I was wondering if I should fight him again or leave him to one of the others. But something appeared in front of me that made it clear that I was going to fight Freed.

[NEW OBJECTIVE!]

Alright, time to step up.

Freed: "You know, I'm super strong, so once I meet one of your kind he gets this treatment." He said as he moved his thumb across his neck.

Freed: "That's why I'm p***ed. About you demon trash hurting my pride!" He announced as he pulled out a new light sword and holy gun from his coat.
