Highschool DxD: The Game (Early Work)

Part #51. The Cycle Resumes.

Kyu woke up at around four in the morning with his arms tightly wrapped around the Koneko burrito. He let go of Koneko slowly before he swiftly moved off of the couch. He picked up his tank-top and put it on.

He began stretching out his limbs, his body emitted several pops and cracks as he did so. He rolled his neck and made his way to the kitchen. He began filling the sink with cold water and dropped a few cubes of ice that he generated himself into the sink. He dunked his head into the ice water and let out a muffled scream. He pulled his head out of the water and shook his head rapidly. Any water that was sprayed stopped in the air as tiny droplets before falling back into the sink.

Now that his various feelings of confusion, exasperation, a dash of self-hate and a teaspoon of unresolved anger had been let out. He could get to cooking. He emptied the sink and washed his hands before beginning to pull ingredients out of the fridge.

A couple of hours later, Kyu laid out the last dish on the dining table. He had prepared a feast, with different foods from various countries. Most of the food was Japanese, since if the others didn't prefer a specific type of food, they always had their usual foods to fall back on.

He grabbed four bottles of maple syrup out of the fridge and threw them towards the dining room.
Before the glass bottles made contact with anything, Kyu caught them and set them down on the table.

He clapped his hands together twice and gazed upon his creations. Once he finished marvelling at the delicious items he had prepared, he walked out of the dining room and towards the nearest bathroom, so he could take a shower.

He exited the bathroom wearing a pair of his usual dark blue jeans, a black shirt with long sleeves, and a blindfold wrapped around his eyes. He was drying his head with a towel before he chucked the towel back into the room. The towel landed on one of the various hooks by the shower and Kyu closed the door.

[Kenbunshoku no Haki has levelled up!]

Kyu: "That was fast." He said. Although he was blinded, the information that the screen held still transmitted directly into his head.

He dismissed the screen and walked down the hall. He stepped into the dining room and noticed two presences in the room.

Kyu: "Good morning, Kuroka-san, Le Fay-san" He greeted the two.

Le Fay: "Good morning!" She greeted him back.

Kuroka: "Morning, nyah." She greeted.

Kyu: "Help yourselves." He told the two, more specifically Kuroka, who was already digging in.

Le Fay: "Thanks." She sighed at Kuroka.

Kyu: "Mkay. I'm gonna go get some training done before Koneko-san wakes up." He told them before he opened up one of his various menus.

Le Fay: "Have fun!" She waved to the blindfolded boy.

Kuroka: "Bye." She said.

Kyu disappeared from the room.
