Highschool DxD: The Game (Early Work)

Level #2. New Surroundings.

A pair of eyes opened once again to see that their surroundings were still full of sand. The owner of these eyes felt a little bit better. They could definitely move their head now. They craned their neck to look to the right and saw that white thing again. They looked further to the right and saw a mixture of wooden planks... and a grassy turf? The head looked up and saw a familiar orange object.

Him: "...S-Sunny...?" They had a somewhat high-pitched and scratchy voice, but it definitely belonged to a male.

???: "Hmmm... Where did they go?" A familiar voice asked.

Him: "Huh...?" The weak-voiced boy said.

Him: "Lu... ffy...?" They asked.

Luffy: "Huh? Oh! Ooooi! Kyyyuuu!" The pirate jumped to their feat and waved at the boy who was hanging from the mast of the ship on its side.

Kyu: "Ugh... did I drink for the first time or somethin'...?" He asked.

The boy shifted his body a little bit, but he began sliding off of the mast.

Kyu: "Wait... wait...! No. No. No. No! Nonononnooo! ACK!" He grunted as he hit the sandy ground with a soft thud.

Luffy: "Nehehehe... You good?" The teenager asked as his face came into view.

Kyu: "...No..." He replied.

Luffy: "I haven't seen you in a while! How've you been?" He asked.

Kyu: "Ugh..." He groaned.

Kyu: "Lemme think..." He said.

The boy closed his eyes and tried to think back on the last time he had been conscious.

Kyu: "Uhm... I think...? I think that Artificial Devil Fruits suck right now." He stated.

Speaking of Devil Fruits, the boy got the sudden urge to vomit, so he turned onto his side and barfed up a bit of pixelated liquid. Once that was over, he felt good. Great, actually.

[Purging complete!]

Kyu sat up and rubbed his head.

Kyu: "What the heck happened?" He asked.

Luffy: "Uhhhh-- Lemme think." He said before crossing his arms and closing his eyes.

Luffy: "What happened to us?" He asked himself.

He concentrated for a bit while on a distant part of the island, a familiar pirate absolutely demolished a bunch of swordsmen with only a tiny knife.

Kyu and Luffy heard some odd noises coming from the east, so they looked towards that direction and waited.

Suddenly, a giant yellow animal burst out of the woods.

Luffy: "What the?!" He yelled.

Kyu: "Excuse me, what?" He asked.

The creature rolled across the beach and into the Sunny.

Luffy: "Hey! You! Don't break our ship!" He yelled.

Luffy: "It's a giant dog!" He realized.

Kyu: "...I must pet it." He stated.

The large dog was pale yellow with brighter yellow polka dots on it. It had a bright yellow mane and tail with some tufts of fur on its legs.

Luffy: "Is it a dog or boar?" He asked.

Kyu: "I dunno." He shrugged before standing up.

The dog barked at the forest, where a creature of equal size walked out. It was a gigantic baboon... carrying a katana?
