Highschool DxD: The Game (Early Work)

Part #38. Kyu Continues to be Confused.

(Third Person POV)

The boy was sitting on one of the green couches in the Occult Research Club room. Koneko was sitting in his lap and she had brought her knees up to her chest. While the girl snacked on a large ice cream cone, the boy was holding a notebook against her back and drawing with an odd pencil that was silver, the pencil didn't really look wooden in any way.

Kyu's phone was resting on the cushion beside the two, music was being emitted by the speakers since the boy had gotten permission to listen to music without using his headphones or earbuds.
The current song that was playing, was "100 Bad Days" by AJR.

Kyu and Koneko were not alone in the room, Xenovia was sitting beside them, Irina was sitting on the opposing couch, Yuuto was leaning against the wall, bobbing his head to the music, and Gasper was sitting next to the coffee table, in his box.

Kyu clicked his tongue as he stared at his incomplete drawing. Three well known people were in the drawing, one person with light colored hair covering his right eye and swirly eyebrows, another person wielding two katanas in each hand and one more in between his teeth, and someone with two black fists and a straw hat on his head.

Kyu: "Hmm... I really need to get some of Zoro's skills..." He mumbled to himself.

Xenovia leaned over and stared at the boy's drawing. Kyu looked at her and picked a blade of grass out of her hair.

Kyu brought his attention back to his drawing and continued. He began drawing the leg of the person whose fighting style he had imitated. The leg was flaming and the man's knee was brought up close to his chest while his arms were up in a guarding position.

Kyu clicked his tongue and spun the silver pencil around each of his fingers as he thought about what he should draw next.

Kyu: "Hmm... I wanna fight all of you." He declared casually.

Irina: "What? Why?" She asked.

Kyu: "Because I can win against all of you one-on-one, so maybe if I fight all of you at once, I'll get a challenge." He stated, not entirely realizing how much he offended the others.

Yuuto: "What makes you think you can win against us?" He questioned the boy.

Kyu simply stared at the knight with a small smile on his face.

Kyu: "Come on." He told Yuuto.

Xenovia: "You honestly believe that you can win even if it's two against one?" She asked him.

Kyu: "Remember when I beat both you, and Irina-senpai?" He asked her.

Irina: "That was a sad day for us..." She said quietly.

Xenovia: "Very sad... But, we're stronger now!" She pointed out.

Kyu: "And so am I." He responded.

Koneko: "Let's just go see who's really stronger." She said.

Kyu grew a large grin on his face and he stood up, picking Koneko up in a bridal-carry in the process.

Kyu: "Let's go! Hehehehehehe..." He giggled mischievously.

Everyone inside of the club room got up and walked out of the old schoolhouse. Kyu closed the door behind him and everyone before he snapped his fingers, and any miscellaneous noise of the students out on the track field vanished.

Kyu: "We're in an empty Instant Dungeon. We can destroy literally anything in here with no consequences." He informed the group.

The two knights summoned their swords. Koneko hopped out of Kyu's arms and walked over to the others, who were prepping themselves for battle.
Gasper was standing behind a tree, he planned on participating, but he was just kind of scared.
