"I'm in too deep, I sold my soul
I'm out of reach and I can't let go"

Sleeping with Sirens,
Trouble

• • •

W H E N nightfall came and Thanksgiving day came to an end, Charlie was almost excited to say goodbye to her new friends simply because she had the desire to sleep forever. She hardly received enough sleep the past few days and was looking forward to sleeping in the next morning.

The kitchen was cluttered with dishes that needed to be loaded into the dishwasher, and she looked at them tiredly while pretending to listen to the goodbyes of the Avenger's. Their day was wrapping up.

She still felt unsteady with her realization of the way Bucky was looking at her, and now every time that she looked at him, she couldn't help but blush and look away.

A small part of her wanted to extend herself to him, to kiss his lips and hug him tight. But she was reserved, she held herself back. She wasn't sure if she was ready to give him her heart just yet. Even if it had already been gifted to him; unknowing to her.

"I forgot something in Olly's room." Bucky told them all, "I'll be right back."

"Okay. We'll be in the car. I don't like sitting in the cold ass car." Sam told his friend. Then he gave Charlie a hug. "Thank you again for your invitation. Dinner was amazing."

"Oh, thanks. It's nothing. Thank you for coming, it was really nice to meet you both." Charlie smiled and then hugged Wanda.

Oliver, who was already half asleep on the couch, mumbled in inaudible goodbye.

Charlie waved them off and the shut the door behind them, sighing in relief. She was that much closer to sleep.

She walked up the stairs and looked at Oliver, who she decided was fine to sleep on the couch. She was too tired to deal with her brother.

Her feet took her down the hall and into her younger brothers room, where her eyes laid on Bucky. He was sitting on the bottom bed, holding Oliver's favorite toy.

"What are you doing with Lava?" Charlie asked. She leaned against the door

Bucky jumped at her words, not having heard her approach the room. He cleared his throat and blinked quickly. "I uh, I was just looking."

Charlie knew that something was wrong by the tone of his voice. It was deeper than usual. Concern overtook her and sleep was soon the last thing on her mind.
