9:05am
I spray the table with the cleaner and wipe the wood table clean.
My long hair falls over my face and covers my eyes. I really should get a haircut.
"Jackson buddy!" Familiar slim arms wrap around my torso and gives me a tight squeeze.
I turn around to see Mark's smiling face. I smile back at him.
We walk to the checkout counter and do our normal routine. Me cutting a slice of red velvet cake and Mark paying with a ten dollar bill.
"Thanks Jacks! Bye!" He smiles and waves.
"Bye." I smile.
He giggles giddily and skips out of the store.
"You love him right?"
My aunt is standing behind me. A warm smile plays on her lips as she stares at me with caring eyes.
My eyes drop to the floor.
Do I love Mark? I haven't experienced love nor have I recieved it...I'm not sure.
But, I am happy when I'm with him. He always makes life less painful and cruel. His smile always brightens my day.
"You love him. Don't you, Jackson?" My aunt continues to press.
I nod my head.
I guess I do love him.
She smiles proudly and heads to the back of the shop.
My head turns to the door Mark walked out of just minutes ago.
I do...love him.
I love you, Mark.
uwu!
