Beomgyu slurped up the instant noodles, flavour filling his mouth as he chewed. The warmth of the noodles main him beam in joy. As he chewed slowly, relishing the taste of his food, his thoughts trailed back to the couple.

Yes he did see Soobin leave early without Yeonjun and that to him wasn't what worried him. What did was the he had biked home, with another girl sitting behind, latching her hands around his waist.

From what he knew, Soobin was the only child, just as Yeonjun was, so she couldn't be any of their sister. Beomgyu wasn't even going think about whether she was one of Huening kai's sisters either.

Maybe I should have stopped him or something, Beomgyu thought as he shifted the weight on his right leg to the left, still standing and finishing his food.

He looked at the time on his watch. Well, he had already finished his duty of finishing his unified homework so he should go home now, not that he had anything urgent to do there anyways.

Beomgyu raised the cup noodle to his lips to drink the soup  when suddenly, he felt the force of something, or someone, running into him and locking its arms around his waist.

'Fuck." Beomgyu hissed, as he jerked forward from the impact, causing droplets of the soup to land on his face. He hastily turned around, ready to blow up on whoever just knocked him over.

"Beomgyu..."

"Yeonjun?!" Beomgyu gasped and craned his neck to look at the boy since he couldn't turn asn Yeonjun tightly squeezed him and buried his head in Beomgyu's neck.

A trickle.

Beomgyu felt the wetness on his skin as Yeonjun slowly started to sob, cries muffled. The boy's body shook as he poured out his heart, and struggling to breathe.

"Yeonjun..." Beomgyu held the boy's hands which were around his waist. Gently, he unlocked Yeonjun's fingers and turned around

Yeonjun looked horrible. His hair was messy, his eyes were puffy, tears still pouring out and his lips were red from him biting onto them. His chest heaved heavily, looking like he was going into a panic attack.

How long has he been running, Beomgyu thought, a sharp pang in his heart.

'Come here." Beomgyu pulled Yeonjun into a tight embrace, patting his head and patiently waited for Yeonjun's cries to die down.

"That's right, it's ok. I'm here." Beomgyu said softly as Yeonjun's cries slowly died down and the only sounds left were broken breathings and sniffs.

Suddenly, Yeonjun stood up abruptly, nearly tipping Beomgyu over from where they were sitting down on the pavement and turned his heels. No matter how much he wanted to hug Beomgyu again, or how he felt like he wanted to rest beside his friend, he was embarrassed, and thought he was only going to be a burden.

He felt a tug at his hands and he nearly broke down in tears again.

How he wished Soobin had grabbed him like that when he turned to leave.

"Hey, where are you going?"

Yeonjun's eyes met Beomgyus and it almost made Beomgyu tear up, seeing how sad and empty Yeonjun looked

Yeonjun didn't say anything because he felt like if he did, everything he's been trying to hold together will break and he'll never get one more step away.

'Yeonjun.."

Yeonjun shrugged Beomgyu's hands which landed on his shoulders and walked away, picking up speed before breaking into a sprint.
