A/N - WINTER BREAK NOW PLZ

A/N from the future - I fixed this mess

Alexander's POV

By far the scariest day of my life was the day I got kidnapped. I was walking home from school when someone just grabbed me and threw me in the trunk of a car. The thing about me is I have severe anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Being locked in that small of a space sent me in a panic and I hyperventilated, passing out.

I woke up in a dark and musty room, the only light flooding in from a small window at the top of the wall above me. I started to stand found that a pair of shackles were on my wrists and I could walk halfway across the room before I couldn't anymore. I started to cry and I buried my face in my knees. In the corner there was a desk, on top of the desk was a gardening tool and a few papers. Other than that there was only dust and dirt in the room. I stood up and started trying to reach the window at the top. A door opened and I spun around. "How cute. You're trying to escape." I gasped and backed up. A man with dark brown hair and brown eyes sneered and approached me. He grabbed my face and I yelped.
"L-let me go!" I spat, the man pushed me back and I huffed.
"I have a very important client coming for dinner and you'll be joining us." He stroked my hair and smiled. "You will be showered and dressed by my wife and you will not cause a scene. Understand?" I nodded and he grabbed my face again. "Understand?"
"Yes, sir." I stammered.
"You will not speak unless spoken too."
"Yes, sir." I whispered, he threw me to the ground and I drew my knees into my chest. The man disappeared and soon a woman hurried in holding a key. She had curly brown hair, freckles, and green eyes and she worn a tattered dress and apron. "Help me, please." I sobbed, she unlocked the shackles and gave me a sweet smile.
"Not yet, darling. Patience. No harm will come to you." She rushed me into a bathroom and laid out nice clothes and a towel on the counter. "Please hurry. You don't want to make Henry angry." I took a fast shower and tried not to cry. This was too much for me, especially given the fact that I was off my medication. When I got out I dressed in the button up and jeans and the door opened. I was given a hair tie by the woman and she gently brushed my hair and tied it up. This somehow wasn't so bad but I'm sure my brother was worried. "Now. Mind your manners. Don't cause a fuss. I'll do my best to keep you out of trouble. Do whatever Henry says and stay near my son at all times."
"Son?"
"I think you know him. He's in your grade. He's going to keep you safe. Be good."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Please, dear. Call me, Ellie." I nodded and she smile. She started to open the door but I grabbed her arm.
"W-wait!" I explained about my awful panic attacks and she smiled.
"If you ever feel like you're about to have one grab his hand. I'll let him know. Ok?" I nodded and she sat me on a couch. Henry was watching the tv and drinking a beer. I stared at the floor and thought about my brother. James was probably really worried. On top of that Mr. Washington is probably worried too. He's an old family friend and he helps James and I stay afloat. He thinks of me as a son but...I don't know. My dad left my family and two years after my mom died.
"Do you like football, boy?" I snapped my attention to Henry and glanced at the tv.
"I-I don't know, sir."
"What do mean you don't know?" He growled.
"I-I don't have a tv, s-sir. W-we can't afford it." I stammered.
"Watch." He commanded, I stared at the tv and Ellie brought him a new beer. She smiled at me and set a water next to me. "You accept that water, boy! My wife doesn't work for you!" I drank the water and watched tv.
"Ma, have you seen my cuff links?" A boy called, I didn't dare look at him.
"I left them on your dresser, honey." Ellie called back.
"I couldn't find the-" he stepped into the living room and gasped. "Dad! Oh my god!" I looked up into the eyes of John Laurens, he sits behind me in history and next to me in physics. "You have to let him go! What the hell is wrong with you!" Without warning Henry slapped John hard across the face.
"You don't ever speak to me like that. You here me!"
"Yes, sir." John was usually so confident in himself but now he was...broken.
"Take him and give him a pair of your cuff links."
"Yes, sir." John tugged me off the couch and into his bedroom. He sat me on the bed and started digging through a box. "I'm really sorry. My mom and I are working on a plan but all of them seem to end with someone getting really really hurt. In the mean time, I'll keep him away from you and steer the conversation at dinner toward me. Just...trying not to say anything and Ma told me about the panic attack thing. I've got you. Ok?" I nodded and John smiled.
"You don't have to be afraid around me." He bent down to put the cuff links on and I hugged him. He quickly hugged me back and I sniffed.
"Th-thank you."
"Don't worry about it. My dad is fucking crazy." He put the cuff links on and grabbed his off the dresser.
"How do you live here?"
"I don't know." He sighed, he cuffed his sleeves and put the cuff links on. "I try not to think about it."
"You do a good job of hiding it." I smiled, John chuckled and smiled at me.
"Thanks."
"Is your face ok?"
"Yeah...it stings a bit but that's not the worst of it." I nodded and John straightened out my collar. "Do not hint anything about you sexuality or feminine preference." I blushed and John stared. "Promise me."
"I promise."
"Good. Squeeze my hand if feel like you need a break." I nodded and he took me out into the living room again. Henry was dressed nicely and Ellie was no where to be seen. John sat next to me and I stared at my hands. Henry went over rules for me and I nodded and agreed. Basically if I even hinted about being held captive I'd be in a world of hurt. Soon the guests had arrived and they were all making small talk. I just sat quietly with John, the grown ups talked and I fiddled with my cuff links. "You look very nice." John commented quietly, I blushed and glanced up at him.
"So do you." John smiled a bit and stuck his hands in his pockets.
   "School's boring without you."
"How long have I been out?"
"Two days is how long dad's had you." I nodded and John chuckled. "Your brother's really really worried about you." I looked up wide eyed and John smiled. "He put out fliers and gave a speech at school. He misses you." I sniffed and smiled. "Don't cry." I got it together and we sat down to dinner. I kept to myself and ate everything on my plate like I was told. When dinner was over the men got drunk and John snuck me to his room. He started doing homework and I just stared around at his room. "You're rather quiet. Everything ok?"
   "Yeah...I'm...off my meds. It's a whole thing."
"James mentioned that. He said you get highly depressive."
"Yeah...I might try to kill myself. I don't know. It depends on what happens." John nodded slowly and sighed. "We're gonna get you out of here. I fucking promise you." I smiled lightly and John sighed. "Do you think you could help me with my physics homework?" He asked sheepishly, I laughed and sat next to him. I helped him and his dad dragged me back to the basement. He chained me to the wall again and I started pulling on them when he left, trying to rip them from the walls. I soon tired myself out and fell asleep.
