Chapter 79: "Toe-Beans"

To catch up on what happened in the last Chapter~ "Chapter 78: Mother, Son Issues...", Royce was taking all of his frustrations out on Cynder, his Draconic mother, all because he was angry at her for taking Cynthias' life as the duo (Royce and Cynthia), fought "The Terror of The Skies," Cynder's Dark, Corrupted, alter-ego, as she attempted at destroying not only War-Fang, but the War-Fang Academy as well, eventually, Royce was able to be convinced by the Captain of the War-Fang City (Guard) and apologized to his mother, as a result, putting aside the hatred inside of him against Cynder...

Meanwhile, after apologizing to Cynder...

Kelly: "So Royce..."

Royce: "Yes, Kelly? Is there something currently on your mind?"

Kelly: "Well actually, yes, yes there is. I was wondering if you would participate with me in a hand-to-hand sparring match with me just this once, since you've settled your ordeal thing with your mother?"

Royce: "No offense Kelly, but do you really what you are asking of either me, or you?"

Kelly: "Is it because I am a lady, or is it something entirely else?"

Royce: "First of all, it is DEFINITELY not because you're a lady; Secondly, you would easily destroy me in a sparring-match because humans didn't evolve through physical means; Thirdly, we don't have claws, razor-sharp teeth, speed or anything that makes humans invulnerable; Finally, and well luckily, there is one, if not two things we're good at..."

Kelly: "Like what?"

Royce: "Endurance and Intelligence, hence man's ability to Improvise and create."

Kelly: "So those are the reasons you are turning me down?"

Royce: "Also, and finally with ALL due respect Kelly, you are my bodyguard. I can't be fighting you! You know that!"

Kelly: "It's just a mock-battle!"

Royce: "And you're potentially stronger than I am," then Royce noticed the unique color of her paws (the inside of), "Hey Kelly, let me see your hands, I mean paws."

Kelly: "Uh, what are you doing?" Kelly asks Royce as she takes one of her paws and begins playing with what humans would call "Toe-Beans" on Kellys' palms, "Why are you playing with that part of my body?"

Royce: "I'm just messing around with your Toe-Beans, that's all."

Kelly: " Toe-Beans?" What's a Toe-Bean, or rather ARE Toe-Bean?"

Royce: ""Toe-Beans..."" Royce then grabs one of Kellys' paws/hands and pressed inwards, showing Kelly's "Toe-Beans", but also her hidden claws, "See?"

Kelly: "Oh, so these are what you call "Toe-Beans," huh... but now, may I ask as to why they are called that in the first place?"

Royce: "Well... I mean they look like beans, right, shaped like them too, doesn't that explain itself in its own way?"

Kelly: "Sure, I guess so..."

Royce: "Yep, I guess so, so now you know what those little things are before you decide, or begin to reveal or retract the claws of your claws (paws)."
