Chapter 78: Mother, Son Issues...

To catch up on what happened in the last Chapter- "Chapter 77: Aggressive Diplomacy or Peaceful Negotiations...",

Royce was barely able to turn a heated situation (due to action brought upon) by Ember and the Evil Element, Convexity, which resulted in Royce selfishly committing an Act of Murder in front of the Princess, Flashie, herself... with her threatening to "Declare War"...

Carmelita: "Royce... are you alright?"

Royce: "No Captain. I am NOT feeling my usual. THAT, was H•••ishly frightening!" Royce told Ms.Fox as he began gripping his head from anxiety.

Carmelita: "... So I see then, well at least I was there to help sort out the mess before it got~ I mean went from bad to worst. It's a good thing you (immediately) called me for this kind of a situation!"

Royce: "Are you bragging, Captain? This was, and IS, very serious!"

Carmelita: "I~ my apologies, Royce. My condolence's, I meant no offense, I also did understand the seriousness of what was going on, not to mention, about to. But to... what really gots me to thinking is, "Why is your family MORE susceptible to Convexity than the other Dragons and Dragoness's of a particular Element? And when I say "Your Family", I mean the Purple Dragon's in general"?" Carmelita pondered to the Human-Fire-Guardian.

Royce: "Good question Ms.Fox, I mean Captain! My best guess is~ according to what my dad, Spyro, told me, according to HIS past, he was exposed to Convexity through The Well of Souls, I don't know, I could be wrong; mom, oh, I just want to straight up incinerate her for (taking) her away from me; was "INTENTIONALLY" exposed to the corrupting Elements, including Convexity, at a very young ago, and then, and well... you get the idea, right, Captain? A highly, unpredictably-emotional disaster of a person is your result."

Carmelita: "But that isn't the (Fire) Guardian that I've come to know and am accustomed to. It's just not like you to be like that!"

Royce: "Like WHO Miss Fox?! Huh, Captain?! Who or, better yet, WHAT am I let me spell it out for you, huh?! MY PARENTS?? Cause ya' d••• straight I'm N-O-T-H-I-N-G like them!!!!"

Carmelita: "Get a hold of yourself; you think I don't know any of that," she questions the very much on-edged Human-Fire-Guardian as she also attempts at reasoning with him, "Think of it like this Sir, you've just completed not one, but two, feat's recently! And those "Feats," seriously you have successfully thwarted off an Invasion this City hasn't seen in quite a while, and the Secondary Feat, you were able to "downplay" a heated conflict that could have possibly resulted in a "Declaration of War" against War-Fang, the Academy and the City itself! You should be proud of yourself, I'd say you DEFINITELY (did) save countless lives, no matter whose fault it is!"

Royce: "Uh... thanks?"

Carmelita: "Any-who... I'm going to check up on your mother, who's currently in the ER recovering."

Royce: "MY MOM?! I'M GONNA KILL HER!!"

Carmelita: "You will do no such thing against anyone, especially your own flesh and blood (or maybe scale); plus, from what I've heard, you need to forgive your own mother for crying out loud! Also, I heard that your little, Pink, Quadruped, Multi-ribboned, Mammalian, Companion/Family-member has made a(n) easy recovery that would have more than EASILY killed anyone in ONE fell swoop! Can't you believe it Royce; you get to see Cynthia fully recovered?" Then she noticed something was up with Royce, behavioral-wise speaking, "Hey now, don't give me that look. She's technically "considered" a "Hero" at this point, despite the fact she literally sacrificed her life for (the safety of) others!"
