Molly felt such guilt and regret from her time with Negan, but she knew that whatever happened next, she had to be with them and the only side she could ever choose had to be theirs, even if always felt a part of herself would be tied to him forever.

I sat there, turned the engine off so I wouldn't attract walkers and stayed silent.

I was conflicted, I wanted to be with my family and I needed them right now but I couldn't risk putting them in danger.

Whenever I felt this way, I would hold my locket in my hands and think of what Tara would do.

I reached up and grasped at my neck, my breathing increasing rapidly.

It was gone.

I tightly shut my eyes and inwardly screamed in frustration.

Maybe it was the fact that I felt I no longer had Tara with me or just instinct but I turned the engine back on and floored it past Alexandria.

If I couldn't be with my family directly, then I could at least find out how they were from someone else, Jesus.

I knew my way from Alexandria to Hilltop and I just prayed that the Saviour's wouldn't be there.

It was a strange feeling as I knew I was close by, I felt excited to see people I cared about and even more so considering they would have intel on things at Alexandria.

I stopped for a moment, getting out my binoculars from my rucksack and scanned the gates for any Saviour vehicles.

None were there.

I sighed in relief and drove up to the gate.

A couple of residents were guarding the gates and told me to halt, probably recognising the car as one of the Saviours's.

I stepped out slowly, with my hands raised and said 'I'm Molly. Jesus knows me, I'm a friend'.

They looked at each other as one went to go get him.

After waiting for a few minutes, my heart pounding out of my chest, Jesus showed his face over the fence.

He looked at me wide eyed and gasped, 'Molly!' he shouted.

'Open the gates' he said to his men immediately, I just smiled at him.

The gates slowly opened and I grabbed my rucksack and weapons and hurriedly walked towards him.

He looked me over with a massive smile, saying 'Molly, you're alive! Tara will be so glad to see you!'.

His expression quickly changed when he looked past me and saw the car.

'Wha-' he started with furrowed eyebrows, 'I stole it when I escaped' I said wearily.

He nodded in belief but also nodded to his men who came over and tied my hands behind my back.

'What the hell?' I said struggling.

'It's just a precaution. After everything we can't take any risks Molly' he said reluctantly.

I looked at him in confusion as they edged me through the gates and down towards the cell.

I sat on the cold floor, at least I was out of the raging heat.

I sighed as I looked around, it was just like the one at the Sanctuary. I pulled my knees up to my chest and bowed down my head.

I was exhausted and starving.

They didn't even know what I'd really done yet. Then they would keep me in here permanently.

They had taken my rucksack and weapons to check over.
