Molly stands in the face of danger to save and protect the ones she cares about, no matter the cost.

It was dark by the time I got back to Hilltop.

Just when I was about to park up my bike outside the gates, they creaked open slowly to reveal Tara standing there anxiously.

'What's happened?' I asked, sensing her worry.

'It's Daryl and Connie, they left a note saying that Henry went after Lydia so they went after him' she said hesitantly.

'What?! I leave for a few hours and this shit happens?!' I said as I paced, thinking what to do.

'Which direction were they headed?' I asked.

'East, but Molly...' Tara said as she reached for my hand.

'I should've gone after Lydia when she left, I won't make that mistake twice' I said softly as I told her to lock the gates behind me as I ran down into the forest.

With my gun held up in front of me and a knife in my other hand, I stealthily walked through the forest.

I knew I wasn't far from the graveyard, where the whisperers had killed Jesus, so I must have been close.

Surely they would have a camp around here somewhere...

I could barely see in the darkness but sticking out of the ground, by a muddy verge was a broken arrow.

I pulled it out of the ground and looked at its green stripe, it was one of Daryl's.

A wave of relief rushed over me, knowing that I was now close, I could just about make out the outline of a footprint as I felt the shape with my hands.

Daryl had taught me how to track, so I knew where to find him.

I followed it until I came across a walker-like figure who was standing by the tree in front of me, its back turned away as it just looked on.

A real walker would have smelt my scent now, so I knew it was one of theirs.

I treaded lightly across the mud to the adjacent tree and stood still behind it, not wanting to make any noise.

I crept forwards, breathing heavily through the cold mist as I held up a knife in each hand until I was close behind him.

I wrapped my arm tightly around his throat as he struggled and drove the dagger into his skull.

I knew the commotion would have alerted them that I was near their camp so I pulled off his mask, secured it over my face and moved quickly in the direction the whisperer was facing.

There were two more figures standing in the shadows.

I couldn't quite make out whether they were whisperers but when I crept closer, I saw Daryl's crossbow across the taller figure's back and Connie's bow on the smaller figure.

'Daryl?' I whispered as he turned around.

He pulled off his mask and whispered back 'Molly?! What are you doing out here?'.

I ran towards them both to see what they were watching.

It was the whisperer camp and there in front of us, down the verge, stood Lydia, Henry, a tall masked man and her mother.

Daryl grunted as the tall man secured his hold around Henry's neck and held a knife up to his throat.

He started to lunge forward, trying to get down there and wanting to kill them all.
