Molly and Negan discuss their ideas about leadership and their potential future together and whilst this might spark fury in some others, Molly is finally learning to stand for what she believes in, regardless of what anyone else thinks.
'When do you have to leave?' Rosita asked as she walked up to me whilst I was kneeling down, wiping the sweat from my brow as I worked in the fields.
I looked up in shock as I realised that this was the first time Rosita had really spoken to me since I'd told her about Negan and I.
'I have a couple days, Jesus needs me back soon for the harvest though' I said hesitantly, unsure of how to speak to her anymore.
She nodded seriously and just said 'cool' and turned on her heels to walk back to help with training practice.
I stood up, took off my cap and said 'Rosita, wait'.
She stopped immediately and turned back around with a look of anxiousness, like she didn't know what to say either.
'Do you have a minute? To talk?' I asked softly.
'Yeah, yeah I think we need to' she replied as she walked past me, ushering me to follow her to a bench which was situated under one of the apple trees.
We sat down and both exhaled.
'I'm sorry' I said quietly and looking down at the grass nervously.
She didn't reply so I continued, 'I should have told you about Negan long before I did. Hell I shouldn't have even been involved with him in the first place. I know that I hurt you and that I can never make it right, but I promise, no more lies'.
She also kept her eyes firmly on the ground until I finished speaking.
'I know. I won't say that I didn't hate you when you told us, because I fucking did. But, then I realised that 'love' isn't always something you can control. It was like that for me and Abraham, till I realised that it wasn't love, it was convenience' she said sternly.
I furrowed my brows and asked 'what are you saying?'.
She sighed and added 'maybe you're not in love with him, I mean God I hope that I'm right'.
I stood up and faced her.
'Seriously?! I apologise for my relationship and you have the audacity to tell me that it's not real? I know you don't wanna hear this, but even after almost a decade, our love is stronger than ever' I yelled.
She scoffed as I continued, 'oh and by the way, you and Gabriel? Yeah, I don't see it. But then again, I would never have the audacity to try and tell you that your relationship isn't real'.
I left her speechless as I walked away, furiously putting my cap back on.
I heard her running after me, I was fully aware that Negan would be watching all of this from his window.
'Molly!' she yelled after me as she grabbed my arm and spun me around.
'What?' I said angrily.
'Can we not fight, please? I'm so tired of it. You're like a sister to me and I need you, I want Coco to know her Auntie' she said pleadingly.
I looked into her eyes and saw her genuine sadness.
'I don't want to fight either, but I'm serious, I won't hide my feelings anymore. I love him' I said sternly to which she just nodded.
'Fine, I'll learn to live with it for you' she added almost smiling because of our reunion.
She hugged me and we had finally made up and worked past our differences.
