We ate at a little pizzeria that was on the pier and it had the best pizza. After dinner, Nash drove us closer to the beach and parked. We took off our shoes and kept them inside the car and began walking down the beach.

"Dinner was amazing, Nash."

"That was my first time eating their, too."

"What if that restaurant was horrible!?"

"Then we'd get sick together," he laughed.

His laugh was melodic. Why hadn't I seen this side of him before? Oh yeah, my friends think he's at the bottom of the totem pole.

"Your friends don't like me, don't they?" he asked quietly.

"I'm sorry," I replied.

"It's OK, I'm used to it. I'm the nerd that doesn't have a social life. Or friends."

"Oh, Nash," I stopped walking and grabbed his hand. "You are not a nerd. You are an amazing person. I'm sorry, I'm just realizing this now."

"Don't be sorry-"

"But you don't deserve to be treated the way you are. Spending tonight with you has made me the happiest I have ever been in a long time. Everyone should know how amazing and caring you are."

"Kaylan, I just want someone who sees me, then I won't care what anyone else has to say about me."

I placed a hand on Nash's cheek and stood on my tiptoes. I placed a small kiss on his lips. When I pulled away he had a huge smile on his face.

"It's getting late," he said still smiling. "I should probably get you home." I nodded and we made our way to his car. It was a quiet, yet comfortable drive home. Neither of us could keep the smiles off our faces.

Nash pulled into my driveway and got out of the car to open the door for me. He walked me to the front door. "I had an amazing time, Nash."

"So did I, Kay." He placed a hand on my cheek, like I did before, and kissed my forehead. He turned around to walk back to his car.

"Wait, Nash!"

"Yeah?"

"Please tell me that we will be going out again," I said.

"Definitely, I'll call you tomorrow."

"I'll be waiting." He turned back to his car again, "Wait!"

Nash turned around and laughed, "Yes?"

"I see you, Nash."

He smiled and nodded his head, "Then you’re all I need, Kaylan."

I watched as Nash got in his car and drove away. This was the best night of my life.

Hope you enjoy this, Kay!
