Myles P.O.V.
"Happy Birthday!" I hopped on top of my best friend to wake her up. She opened her eyes and gave me the dirtiest look.
"What the hell, Myles. What are you doing here? Who even let you in the house?" she croaked, still half asleep.
"Your mom let me in. Get up and get dressed!" I went to her closet and threw her a pink flowy dress that she looked cute in.
"Uh, Myles?" I turned and looked at her. "Get out," she said.
"I've seen you naked before," I smirked.
She laughed, "That doesn't count Myles, we were young, get out."
I walked out the door and hopped in my car to wait for her. A few moments later she came out and into the car, "Where are we going?"
"It's a birthday surprise," I winked. We stopped by IHOP first so we could eat breakfast. Then we headed to the mall. I grabbed her hand and walked to the jewelry store.
"What are we doing in here?" she asked.
I walked up to the woman at the counter, "Myles Parrish, I'm here for pick up."
The woman smiled and went to the glass shelf and picked up a little velvet box. I grabbed it from her and said thank you.
"Myles what is that?"
Instead of answering her, I walked to the water fountain in the middle of the mall. She removed her hand from my grip, "Myles Blake Parrish, what is going on?"
"Do you remember this place?"
She looked confused, but answered, "Of course, it's the place we first met." She began laughing, "Our parents were talking and my mom told me to share my pretzel with you. Then you reached for some and I pushed you inside. Then I laughed and you pulled me inside, too. I was so pissed!"
"Well that was the day, I fell in love with the most beautiful girl in the world. You."
She put her hand to her mouth and I saw tears brimming her eyes, "Myles..."
"Eboni, will you be my girlfriend?" She nodded her head and jumped into my arms. I couldn't contain the smile on my face.
