It was a normal day followed by a normal practice at Karasuno high school. But on the way home Shōyō bumped into a guy on accident. He looked about his age but he didn't recognize him. He was probably from a different school. When he fell the boy noticed the pride pins on the smaller boy's bag.
"Look at what we have here. A little gay boy. What are you in middle school." The boy said in a condescending mocking tone.
"I'm in high school and just let me walk away. Leave me be." Shōyō said in an attempt to defend himself.
"And why would I do that." He kicked the smaller boy until he bled. The taller stopped and walked away. Leaving Shōyō unconscious.
When he woke up he was in an ambulance. "Hey, sir can you tell me your name?"
"Hinata. Hinata, Shōyō."
"Okay, Hinata. Do you remember what happened to you?"
"No" he lied
"Okay. Is there anyone you want me to call?" The EMT asks as he wheels Hinata into the hospital.
"Tobio he should be one of my emergency contacts." He barely got out, throwing up more blood before passing out again.
Tobio's POV
(Ring ring ring) my I pick up my phone but it's not a number I recognize.
"Hello, who is this?"
"I'm sorry to call you this late at night. But are you Kageyama, Tobio?"
"Yes, why?"
"Your Hinata, Shōyō's emergency contact. He has been admitted into The Hague Hospital. He is currently unconscious." What? No No No
"I'll be there right away." He says already running out the door. When he got to the hospital, after asking the front desk where it was. He went straight to Shōyō's room. Asking the nurse already in there. All the questions he could think of. "What happened? Why does he look like he got into a fistfight? Has he woken up at all? Is he going to be okay?"
"Calm down. To answer your questions. We don't know what happened. He has woken up. But he fell unconscious again when he started coughing up some blood. Without him being conscious and staying awake we can't do a full examination. But the doctor did order a scan of his lungs and stomach to make sure there is no more internal bleeding. You can sit with him till we get the results. Maybe he'll wake up to a familiar voice."
"Thank you," Kageyama said as he laid on the chair next to Hinata's bed.
Time skip
"To-bi-o, Tobio, Tobio" Shōyō cried going from a whisper getting louder. Waking himself up in the process.
"Hey hey hey. Sh Sh. I'm right here. I'm right here. Can you tell me what happened?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Ok. Then you can tell me whenever you feel comfortable." He moved to go back to the chair.
"No. Tobio can you lay down with me? I need to know you're going to stay with me." He lay down on the bed as his small boyfriend cuddle closer into his unbrace.
"Don't worry I'll never leave your side again."
